Don't be fooled

Simple story line, straight forward emotions and a sneaky musical style make this a hit with my 7 year old! The rest doesn't matter really as long as the children enjoyed. And this is how u I have this film 7 stars.

Dog trouble
MB-reviewer1859 June 2021
This movie was ok but it wasn't really worth 1hr 25m even though the animation was pretty at times and not awful.

The characters can get annoying through out and there are characters you will not like at all.

Very basic but harmless
bastos4 January 2021
This is a pretty harmless animated movie about a pampered dog that has to learn how to live without privileges. Very basic story but I thought it wasn't as painful as I was expecting it to be, and it even has some heart to it which I found surprising. The animation is not amazing but does its job. I had just watched another terrible animated movie and this one seemed like a Pixar masterpiece when compared, but with some distance I can see it was just OK. I still find the West Side Story dancing squirrels very funny, but I don't think the target audience will understand the joke.

A nice, fun movie

I enjoyed it even tho I'm not a kid. It was really sweet, funny and both for kids and grown ups. I don't think you will be bored cause the plot is really interesting. It's a relaxing movie that I personally really liked.

Aristocats meets Rock Dog with added bum sniffing jokes

My 5 year old enjoyed it - which was the reason for being there which is why it gets 6 stars. It was mildly entertaining but largely familiar.

Kids may like it. Parents may cringe.

Half of the voice talent are old pros and are great, the other half sound like a high school drama club. The animation is actually pretty good, even if the story is a regurgitation of a million other dog movies.

The worst part is the squirrels. If you are curious how many times a crotch grabbing, dancing squirrel can say "Nuts" before it starts to make you uncomfortable, the answer for me was 3. But the joke just keeps coming back, over and over until you've heard them aggressively say "Nuts" so many times that you debate whether or not to just turn the movie off.

My 6 year old got bored and asked if we could watch something else instead.

Brutally Bad Voice-over Acting
jasondeegan3 July 2021
The movie was merely a series of clichés and stereotypes. The characters conveniently act abnormally only so as to advance the story - a trait of a terrible story teller. Neither of our kids (10 & 8) even giggled once. The animation was "fine," not excellent.

I've seen worse movies, but not many.

A mix of several other cartoons like Pets, Bolt, Wild and the movie Bailey, but here we have a cute copy about dogs, after coming to live with my sister and her dog, I learned about the love of pets, and how they strengthen us, and It warms us, has no price, love without limits...

Nope.

This movie has so much crude humor. I really don't advise watching this. The point of the movie is kind of unclear, was sort of cliché, and was kind of boring.

Nice story, funny for all ages
markthepig-9487418 May 2020
I dont know how people rate this with 1 or 2 stars. Me and my wife really enjoyed it. We own dogs and we love animals , we loved the movie, animation maybe not on par with pixar but considering the buget you have to appreciate the animation quality witch was more than decent. Kids will love it and also some adults (we did).

A nice story, simple.
Shellyspace6 June 2021
I thought this was a reasonably entertaining and fun movie. Good for a watch, if you don't let your expectations get in the way. I will watch it again.

Personally I found the movie derivative, and lacking that feel that makes it seem special or original. Many times I found myself feeling like this all seems so familiar. Obviously the writers ran short of ideas, by having to imitate Pet Detective. The in-laws behaving much like the greedy in-laws from almost anywhere else. I am not surprised that so many people knew the squirrels were dancing the "rumble" dance from West Side Story, later in this movie it became kind of annoying. The exhausting use of "nut" jokes, made that seem old and forced. It's all been done before.

Sure kids will watch it, kids watch anything! It's a sort of knock off of secret life of pets. It's boring, repetitive, cheap and, cliche. Don't waste your time or money!

Kind of awful, kind of good
ohgeezelouisee13 June 2021
It's okay for kids. Some parts have a lot of heart, others have a lot of cringe. It takes a lot of "influence" from Bolt (seriously trouble even looks like Bolt) and secret life of pets and pretty much every movie about pets. There are a lot of well seasoned actors who aren't left much to work with by the ones that are exceptionally awful. The squirrels almost ruin the movie. So much cringe. So it's good for kids but if you've seen one lost pet movie, you've seen this one.

It's a 4/10 type of movie
It's a 4. That's all there is to it. The jokes are lame, the characters are 1D, the animation is a bust, the songs are 4/10, the plot is predictable, the supporting *filler* characters are meant to entertain and make you laugh but they just make you yawn and check your phone instead, the title sounds dumb while it tries to be unique, snoop dogg doesn't help this movie, and the plot is ruined by the lame jokes and unoriginal dialogue between characters. It's a 4/10. Meh.

Humans!
rabenulrik17 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is the nearest you can get to an Littlest Pet Shop movie with a girl on a scooter and her animal friends. Classic lost animal story mixed with animation as a hit or swing with beautiful backgrounds, and at times lackluster character designs with a big end credits. Some trendy jokes for the young people too with mobile phones, some dirty jokes and pop culture references. Not the best movie of 2019 but some lower budget to stream for your family if you have 1 hour and 30.

Basic, unoriginal movie is Boring and unfunny as Amy Shumer.
runjumpgame19 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So a while ago, I decided to check this movie out. It was new, and it had some familiar voice actors. I had heard some good things about it, but after I watched it, I realized how mistaken I was. This movie has the most basic, unoriginal plot know to mankind. It tells the story of a dog who escapes greedy people looking for reward money, to destroy there parents estate. They enlist the help of a horribly cliched, almost racist character to find the dog. The voice acting is ok, but it's not good. The animation was pretty bad, as each character was morbidly obese or pencil thin. Max was so annoying that even I wanted him to be found so this movie could be over. This movie is chliche, annoying, unfunny as hell, and borderline racist. This is a 0/10. Watch something that's actually good instead.

It was decent
kayla-218364 February 2023
I decided to find movies to watch outside genres of what I normally see, and I liked it. I found it had good animation and the story was easy and interesting to understand and I did manage to get invested enough in the plot to where I didn't distracted, and it was refreshing seeing a movie that was family friendly (besides maybe that squirrel joke with the nuts.) Then at the same time I can understand bad reviews like many characters weren't that likeable and it can come off as cringy and unrealistic but at the same time.. it's a kids movie. In general I've seen better however I'd still recommend 6.5/10 in my opinion.

The songs ruin the movie
deexsocalygal5 November 2021
Really horrible songs ruined this for me. I had to keep fast forwarding every time a song popped up which was too often. The story is pretty good- a pampered dog had to find a new home when his owner dies. The problem was the actors who did the voices of the dogs weren't that great. It just didn't have that Disney/Illumination 5 Star appeal to it.

Easy to watch with the kiddo ONE TIME ONLY...
Mcduff360114 June 2021
So this was part of our family movie night and out of the others we did watch I found this one to be the most boring. My 7yr old loved it and has re-watched it several times since then but I won't sit through another viewing of this one.

This felt really aimed at the young kids. There didn't seem to be anything here to help keep the attention of the adults watching. It will do just fine to keep the kids entertained but I wouldn't include this one in my ever going to watch again category.

Bolt and Life of Pets would be movies I could stand watching again.

It's okay
anna_regenboog25 October 2019
Straightforward simplistic story with the standard (dog movie) flow. Sometimes funny. Sometimes forced funny. The movie could have been shorter. And I personally thought the dance of the squirrels was awkward because it made me think of Michael Jackson... while watching a movie for children... But all in all okay. I think most children will enjoy it.

Good Story, Fun and Entertaining
leonshikto9 March 2021
Trouble is a fun animated movie to watch. It takes us on a adventure when the sweet little Trouble finds himself lost and stray after being pampered his entire life. I liked the premise and it deserves 1/2 for story and 1/1 on plot settings.

The animation and dialogues are colorful and sometimes intended for a grown up audience and it is made fun to people irrespective of their ages 1.5/2 for animation and dialogues.

I believe the pace is good and the settings and adventure were well developed along with a cheerful soundtrack. 1/2 for directing and soundtrack. Finally I would give it 1.5/2 from myself as I had a great time watching this lovely dog flick.

Rich dog story

Based on true story of Leona Helmsley who left her dog "Trouble" 12 million and was the " Queen of Mean" . Kids enjoyed it, I thought it was ok. Lowered my standards in COVID.

Copy/Paste
saschafranken26 October 2019
This movie has to be the worst movie of 2019. The animation is like watching a cheap animated series on TV. It's like being trown back 15 years in animation quality. Most characters are not likable or funny and the squirrels very awkward to watch. Trouble himself looks like the dog Bolt from 2008!! only worse Waste of money for me and my kids.
