Anyways, the episode itself was actually quite good. It did something that this show consistently struggles with, balancing humor and drama. Unlike say, Supergirl's time in the coma, it sure looks like The Flash will spend a good chunk of episodes locked away in his father's cell. And if the episodes continue to give Barry an arc emotionally, then I would be fine with another 4 or 5 episodes like this.
This also gave Ralph some time to shine as a crime fighter in Central City, and he also developed a new rival of his own in Axel/The Trickster. As goofy as those moments were (especially just analyzing how bad Ralph's costume was), there was a keen lightness in tone that I felt the episode needed. I guess it's just a nice switch-up from The Thinker. Plus, bringing back Corinne Bohrer from the original Flash TV series was a nice complement to Trickster.
Overall, having Ralph get a new suit, Barry make a friend in jail, and a well balanced episode tonally is enough to get this show back on track. For now.
8.2/10
My quibble with this episode is a picky one and something most people will not give much of a damn about, but, it is quite irritating to those of us who do care about basic good manners and like our protagonists to exercise them even in an insincere American way.
Neither Cisco or Ralph thanked the girl at the end of the episode for paying for their drinks! I do notice that this sort of thing does happen quite regularly in US TV shows and films but it rather jumps out at me that both these men respond to this girl in a very rude fashion, as if humouring her, rather than acknowledging her act of generosity.

- CuriosidadesCorinne Bohrer reprises her role as Zoey Clark / Prank from Trial of the Trickster (1991). After Amanda Pays (Dr. Tina McGee), Mark Hamill (James Jesse / The Trickster), Vito D'Ambrosio (Anthony Bellows) and Alex Désert (Julio Mendez), she is the fifth actor to play the same character in both The Flash (1990) and Flash (2014). John Wesley Shipp also appeared in both series, playing the title character Barry Allen in the former and his father Henry Allen (and his Earth Three doppelgänger Jay Garrick) in the latter.
- Erros de gravaçãoThe axid shower melts the Beebo doll but does nothing to the chair it's sitting in.
- Citações
Iris West-Allen: No, Ralph, I meant you, okay? That bomb could have torn you to shreds.
Caitlin Snow: Or Joe, or any of the police outside.
Ralph Dibny: Relax, ladies, my cells are completely polygamized.
Caitlin Snow: Polymerized?
Ralph Dibny: Yeah, that. Which means they can stretch and take a bomb blast.
Iris West-Allen: Oh, my God.
Ralph Dibny: Dibny is in-dib-structable.
