Netflix Live

An excellent observational comedy. I found it both amusing and relaxing. I could imagine this as a perfect show to put on to chill out and relax too. I am not sure if many other comedians could pull this off. I sincerely hope this is not the last we see of this show. Perhaps other serene videos with specious commentary could be made. Hopefully this is a big enough surprise hit that it spawns a series... I enjoyed it and would probably watch it a couple more times...if it was still available...I kid you not.

For 2017's April Fools' Day, Netflix released their suspect newest feature: Netflix Live — now since declared "canceled" due to a 'troubling' miscalculation in the number of people who'd watch such a thing — a 24/7 livefeed of office life narrated professionally and analytically; in reality, though, it is a not-actually-live 50 minute program that gleefully, mind- numbingly slogs through antiseptically grayed stock footage — such as the thrills of a microwave countdown, a toaster, a pair of thumbs wrestling, and some ungodly parallel parking — all assuaged of a certain degree of its tedium by featuring the BoJack Horseman-esque oddball chocolate-voice ramblings of Will Arnett offering commentary as these reels shift through slow-mos and time-slot rotation, à la a one-man-show MST3K. Nuggets of entertaining absurdity cop up, such as Arnett's profane outburst from witnessing refrigerator protocol being violated, or a surprise obstruction of the anonymity expected of stock footage.

It's 50 minutes of some genially moronic personal time with Will Arnett. Make of it what you will. For some it should prove an excellent way to whittle away a near-hour of your life. For others, the sheer commitment to the joke may be the best processing of the joke, than actually watching the whole thing.
