    Clearing the Mess

Very fine episode as certain characters begin to weed themselves out. Tough interviews are the order and the results produce a great deal of hurt. Cassie's continuing issues with her father and his gold digging girlfriend are a harsh distraction. But there is one episode left and we will see the results of all the work.

    Well written

I dont know who the culprit is yet as I am still watching this episode but I wanted to say what a sympathetic character Chris is. His acting is so spot on he breaks your heart. I really hope he is not guilty. So far this story has been very interesting and I still cant figure out "who done it" .

    It's just brilliant.

This series has been terrific, no single dip of any kind, and the penultimate episode serves up another cracker. It's thought provoking, intelligent drama, which also has the impact on Cassie of her idiotic mistake.

Just as it did with Neil Morrissey, I feel this is one of the best things I've seen James Fleet in, always a good actor, but this time around I thought he was superb, a powerful performance. Incredibly well acted all round, I thought Siobhan Redmond was great also.

One of those shows where I can't wait to find out who, bit at the same time I don't want it to end. 9/10

    • Trivia
The hidden word in the closing credits is "DVLA," which stands for "Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency."
    • Goofs
Sunny mentions the A405 6 miles east of Middenham Hampshire. Most roads in Hampshire start with a 3 (ie A3, A30, A31, A331 etc) with some in the east beginning with a 2. No road in Hampshire starts with a 4. In fact, the A405 is in Hertfordshire near the city of St Albans.

Dr. Tim Finch: Oh, just ask the actual fucking question, Em, please. Look, I've got ten minutes before I'm due back, and I really don't have time for endless dreary euphemisms.

Emma Finch: You don't have to get so unpleasant, Dad.

Dr. Tim Finch: Oh, you think? It's just that, as your father, I thought you might already know the answer.

      [pauses and sits down]

Dr. Tim Finch: I'm sorry. I'm very stressed by all of this. But no... I never hit your mum. Apologies, but I have a two-o'clock.

[stands up and kisses Emma the top of her head]

Dr. Tim Finch: And for the avoidance of any doubt, I'm not a psychopathic murderer, either. Just pull the door to when you leave. Love you.
