Fleshing Things Out

We get more information on the millennium murder of a sixteen year old girl. Her identity is confirmed. We learn more about the characters, seeing their fragility. The salesman has a problem with some money. The artist is robbed and reveals something about his assets. And there is more. Nicely presented with some very pregnant silences.

The pieces are starting to fall into place.

Unforgotten's format is tried and tested, and the formula has remained the same, the second episode has, and is used here to set the scene, and start bringing the loose strands together. It's not an episode where a great deal happens, but it does its job in linking the random mix of characters, and it's starting to shed some light onto who the victim was.

Definitely some interesting characters, with some complex relationships. At this stage I'm most intrigued by Game show host James Hollis, and his awkward relationship with both his wife and son. What has Pete Carr done with the money? Has Jessica Reid sold her story to the Press?

Lots of questions, no answers at this stage.

Engrossing drama. 8/10
