The "Previously on the Big Bang Theory" segment includes clips from throughout the series showing important events or long-running jokes instead of the usual format of including relevant and more recent previous events that relate to the current episode. It begins with Penny meeting Leonard and Sheldon in the pilot. Also included are the weddings of the main characters. Funny elements include the habit of Sheldon to knock three times and the singing of the song Soft Kitty.
This episode was broadcast back to back with The Stockholm Syndrome (2019) to serve as the first half of the series' finale. End credits and Chuck Lorre's Vanity Card were added for the home theatre versions.
With all the excitement, of Sheldon telling everyone they can slap him if he falls asleep, and Leonard saying that "it's my time!", this wasn't the first time Leonard has slapped Sheldon. He first slapped him because he wouldn't go to sleep in The Proton Resurgence (2013), awaiting the arrival of Professor Proton, and was keeping Leonard awake.
Final appearance of Joshua Malina as President Siebert and the Caltech University. The Cheesecake Factory also appears for the first time since The Bitcoin Entanglement (2017), making its final appearance in the series as well.
