Dramatic Catholic guilt with fine twist ending by Nica
This edition of Nica Noelle's ongoing Gay Porn series about aberrant priests is presented in dead serious fashion, its dramatic content enhanced by a very fine surprise ending I won't spoil here. Recommended as an example of how exploitation porn can be handled artistically.
Ty Roderick stars as a new priest assigned to Holy Trinity church, who alludes obliquely in his opening voice-over narration to the mystery surrounding the departure of his predecessor.
Vignette format is well tied together by Ty's presence, listening in his confessional to a variety of sins from the members (all male, in an all-male cast) of his congregation. Film opens with shots of religious artifacts, and the musical score is filled with chants and organ music to set a somber mood.
First up is the top leading man in Noelle's stable of Icon Male males, Nick Capra, a married (to a woman, not shown) man confessing his infidelity. He narrates a flashback of humping the son from his wife's first marriage, played stiffly (I have to put at least one pun in every IMDb review) by Josh Stone, who gets a fictional character name of Noah for no apparent reason, floods notwithstanding. Nick cites this as the only time he has strayed from heterosexuality, which comes as a shock to the legion of his fans out their in Gay porn land.
The late Alexander Gustavo (committing suicide last December, a bad month for the industry as August Ames also did likewise plus Yurizan Beltran o.d.'ing the same month) confesses to being bisexual and ashamed of humping a pick-up at the gym, played by Logan Moore, a guy often in gonzo roles. Each one humps the other in a less usual format of equal time, instead of the genre's ordinary "you top, me bottom" approach, and this scene ends quite cryptically with Ty just silently staring into the space rather than answering Alex's plea for absolution.
Nica regular Tony Salerno is up next, admitting that he's been impersonating a priest in order to gain the confidence of young guys and then seducing them. This rather serious admission gives rise to Ty having an erotic dream that he's having sex with Salerno.
Final scene of Ty tossing in bed has another erotic dream of him servicing Alex. But after their mutually delivered money shot, Nica springs a surprise ending worth waiting for.
Recommended as thinking man's Adult Cinema.
