Chaos on earth with a tribute to the Hellraiser series

I´ve waited 1 year to see this short movie, and i wasn´t dissapointed, this is a decent B-movie fare, this first installment of the Hellbox movie ( i´ve checked the director´s page, and i saw that they are making Hellbox 2 ) so we can expect more to come, and the plot feels more cool this time.

So let me tell something about the story, an old lady buys a misterious box, without knowing that this box as Mephisto trapped inside, along with his army ( fearless demons ) and a boy appears to check the box, then he goes to his grandma but she can´t open it either, so after he tries for some time, he opens it, and then all hell breaks loose.

After seeing it, i think there´s something for everyone who loves horror movies, with a good direction, and even a fairly respectable story, this one's a keeper- and DEFINITELY worth checkin' out !

Disturbing visions of the Hellbox

The film is very well-made, the acting is alright and there are some good gross-out gore effects that will certainly please every splatter freak.

I´m fan of Constantino´s work, and try to watch every movie he does, so this was perfect for me, because i love horror movies.

A great portion of the action and the terror is concentrated in the last minutes, This is definitively a masterpiece, of low budget.

I recommend this movie for anyone who's into horror or those who think the genre is just Hostel and Saw.

It´s a great film with fantastic visuals.

Rise of the hellbox

One of the best buys i´ve ever made, this is when it all began.

A truly inventive storytelling stemming from a unique premise back then and seldom equalled now. It also has some abitious theme like desperation.

Was surprised too by how good the acting was, have seen some terrible acting in horrors recently so this was refreshing.

Very good with many great elements.

Hellbox Puzzle of Flesh

Super creepy movie, and it has good amount of well-placed jump-scares to rattle even the toughest audiences. As a horror fan, I definitely enjoy this movie.

The creatures are awesome, and the leader Mephisto was superb, i am very happy to know that a sequel will be released next year, so i´m very anxious, to know what´s up next.

The killing are great, special effects are superb, loved it.

A great movie filled with scares and hellish nightmares, i recomend it to anyone who likes pure horror movies.

Pinhead has a brother and his name is Mephisto

Instead of some cheap short movie, we get a real tribute to the hellraiser series, it´s a great mix of portuguese talent with some great horror and musical score.

Now, the presence of Mephisto´s army it´s what gets me the most, they are cool, make up, costumes, all top notch, and Mephisto is a real menace.

The movie depends on the story more than the demons, and that´s what i loved the most. Congradulations to Lx Studios for the special effects, for the budget they had, it´s top notch.

all in all it´s a fun movie and i recomend it, to all Hellraiser fans.

Hope this turns into a series, because there´s so much more here, that they can show and create, into this universe of the Hellbox.

It´s a groundbreaking horror movie, we dive in a paralell universe only to watch the hellbox open her gates, to release Mephisto and his army on earth, and only a boy as the power to destroy them.

It´s a very refreshing and original horror movie to watch, i saw this an hour ago on CFT Constantino filmes TV / their channel on facebook, go see it, they´ve posted today, and it has a great musical score from the talents of Kevin Macleod and Myuu, they give it an 80´s vibe.

Loved the atmosphere and story development, the army of demons, and Mephisto, and he said to the young boy " You will take my place " i was scared.

The movie is very dark and very scary, there are truly no slow parts in this movie, as it moves along quite nicely, this movie deserves more credit for its ingenuity, creativity, thanks to the director.

The film had some exciting moments, it´s 8/10.

Hell is upon us.

I good short movie with pratical effects, creatures, and lots of horror, a true gem for an avid horror consumer just like me.

Outstanding for what it is.
