You can see that there was some effort put in here by the actors, extremely amerturish but its no good, not enough of the monster and the pure confusion of whats actually going on, so there's a monster in the pipes??? How does it suck a whole human body into a pipe no wider than a plug hole? And then, *spoiler* its the grandma??? How did she end up a monster who lives in the pipes of a house? Cmon, I watched this over the weekend after a few jars and can usually appreciate most indie efforts but this is just silly. Instead of bad acting, atrocious writing, and a waste of 90 muinites of life, save your money and go for a beer; and to anyone thinking of watching this dont, I don't often give a low score unless its really deserved.

Guys, We should leave.
nogodnomasters20 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
In the opening scene we discover the spirit of grandma lives in the pipes of a house (my first choice for the afterlife) and kills people who are near the plumping system as she has to eat. Years later, seven college kids rent the place so they can go to a nearby music festival. People get eaten as expected.

The acting and dialogue was bad and boring, especially on the drive over. The frat stories where also poorly written. The genre is what one would expect from a comedy horror, heavy on the comedy like when a girl discovers she has teeth in her privates. They attempted to make this into a serious horror film with bad filming and sound track to boot. It didn't work.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

a very cool intro ...

Lures you in this film, but when the story begins and the actors starts functioning its far too bad, seems like they are uninspired, and reads the script like a unsharpened hacksaw. The few scarescenes are well made, the rest is for the pipemonster to chew on, so do choose another movie for the evening by the tv, its barely worth a 2 from the grumpy old man.

CONTINUITY AND LOGIC BE DAMNED...

This movie is horrible on all accounts. The story is CONVOLUTED. The acting is HORRIBLE. The cinematography is NONEXISTENT. Some actors disappear with NO EXPLANATION. Grandpa is SOMETHIN' ELSE (Barely Functional). The survivors don't go to THE POLICE, so it leaves you with THE SENSE OF DREAD that THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL (from the scene after the credits). I don't know who backed this movie financially, but they need to save their money, and STOP WHILE THEY'RE AT THE FRONT END OF BEING IN THE RED if sequel plans are in the works. I gave it a chance, but I'll NEVER get those wasted minutes of my life back. This is definitely not worth your time unless you like SUBJECTING YOUR EYEBALLS AND BRAIN TO TORTURE.😫

"Maybe we should hide behind the chainsaws"

Nice to see something a little different....instead of a woman running through the woods getting followed by a creature. Acting was pretty bad....but all and all...not a bad indie movie. Lesson learned : Get your pipes cleaned !

This Is A Hard Pass

I like to give indies a chance because every once in a while you will come across a hidden gem. This is not one.

The story, acting, sets, music, script and "horror" are all L-A-M-E. This felt more like a production one would turn in for a high school filming course rather than a more serious endeavor. I deserve 10 stars for having watched it through to the end and come here to give others fair warning.

Unless you really really really have nothing better to do but to waist time, this is one of the worst movies I've ever had the privilege of not even finishing. Bad acting, lousy music and anything but scary.

Horribly executed

Warning: Spoilers
The plot was an okay plot. Very Lovecraftian, but the writing was horrible. The acting was horrible. The cinematography was horrible. If the writing was better, it could almost make up for the rest.

The "party" was laughable. Those college-age kids have fun like old folks trying to relive their party days. I feel like, nobody involved with this movie has ever actually been to a party. The couple who went off alone at night... They keep hearing something and the girl gets scared of some noises, so what does the guy do? He goes wandering around like a 7-year-old playing hide and seek while the girl he as about to get intimate with is wanting to go inside. What?? I have to assume that no guy involved with this movie has ever been intimate with a woman out in nature. When she says she's scared and cold, that's a clue and a half to bring her inside where you're alone, warm and cozy.

The couple who gets bashed and zip-tied... LOL Too bad the girl can't see anything off screen. The guy goes barreling through the door and hit with a bat. She's looking through the door, but can't see what happened (because the writer can only think in terms of on and off camera) and runs in to get smacked, too. Then, they're zip-tied and injected with some red liquid. That was poorly done. The way the needle was held, shaking because it wasn't really in anyone then when it's removed, it's not pulled out. It's just lifted away. They wake up, zip-tied with hands in front and duct tape on their mouths. Do they tale off the tape? Nope. They just wave around, mumbling through the tale and smacking the door like a couple of seals.

There was nothing good about this movie. The plot. That was okay, but forgettable because it was buried under a comedy of errors. Avoid this movie at all costs. It's not worth the 30 minutes I spend going back and forth to try and get to the good parts... Of which there were none. I couldn't watch more than a few minutes at a time.

Warning: Spoilers
The creature/monster is the evil spirit of Granny, who somehow came to be a black, viscous ooze that lurks in the pipe of a house? How does one make the transition from spectral form to black slime in the afterlife? Moreover, how does to ghostly goop come to be confined to the plumbing?

It's a original idea... dumb, but Original.

Seven college somethings rent the house where Granny Ghost Goop resides. The house is rented by our intrepid band because it is geographically close to a music festival that they have tickets for. They are, of course, unaware that they are being set up to be consumed by Granny Ghost Goop by the surviving members of her family.

Other than the original premise of the creature, the rest of the movie is formulaic retread. Nothing new to see here. Seven party-hearty college types get picked off one by one by Granny Ghost Goop. The acting is terrible. The dialogue comes off as being ad-libbed woodenly, and on the spot, by the cast. They keep asking the same questions over and over again, making the same comments and inane, banal small talk. No one is particularly memorable, or likeable, and you really don't much care when they're killed by Granny Ghost Goop.

In some ways, this movie put me in mind of the movie adaptation of the Dean Koontz novel, "Phantoms"; an amorphous creature consumes it's victims. The creature in "Phantoms" is an oozy, goopy shapeshifter that devours and absorbs it's prey much in the same manner as the sci-fi/horror film classic creature, the Blob. "Phantoms" and "The Blob" are far, far better movies than "Pipeline" is.

This isn't the worst movie that I've ever seen, but I definitely would NOT recommend watching it.

Warning: Spoilers
You know, every time I believe that I've seen it all, something shows up to surprise me. Like this movie, which features a pipe monster that takes over a family's house. So how does the family stay alive? Pretty simple. They rent their home out to people who will serve as food for the beast.

The best part of this movie is that it uses shadows and light to hide the beast, with the kills mostly happening offscreen.

Writer/director/producer Emily Aguilar has a background in much lighter fare, making movies like Clara's Ultimate Christmas. Yet as we've learned, often there's a fine line between directors who do horror movies and those that do holiday movies for kids.

Pretty enjoyable indie creature feature
kannibalcorpsegrinder27 April 2021
Taking a special vacation together, a group of friends rents out a house in the middle of the countryside as a relaxing weekend, but when they start disappearing they realize someone or something is living in the house killing everyone and must find the reason why to leave alive.

This turned out to be a rather solid indie creature feature. Among the more enjoyable facets of the film is the rather impressive storyline that offers up a clever and unusual take on the genre. Working on the idea of the creature living in the house and traveling by way of the piping which then signals how that carries into a series of rather fun twists in the latter half regarding the true origins of the creature and the reason for visiting. These are all quite enjoyable and help sell the storyline for the majority of the film. As well, this setup works nicely to enable a fun series of attack scenes. The opening attack on the college student has a lot to like with the POV shots showing the creature stalking her unseen through the pipes before the fatal encounter in the laundry room generates a strong opening, working to establish the type of scenes to come. Knowing it comes through the water pipes and is usually associated with the creaking noises, this allows for some suspense to be built up prior to some later scenes including the bathroom ambush or the tunnel attack. That goes rather nicely with the final half where it manages a fine mix of suspenseful atmosphere with intriguing action scenes of the creature being utilized. Due to the bodies being discovered early on and the race to understand the situation, these scenes of the group running around the house and encountering the creature bring about some really tense moments and graphic encounters. Given the series of twists and revelations that come to light here as well as the action involved in the escape, these aspects hold this one up over its minor flaws. There isn't much to really dislike with this one. The main factor here that's exceptionally obvious is a complete lack of info about the creature since it's barely on-screen. Kept to the shadows save for brief glimpses and scant lines of dialog involving its origins, not only are we never given a clear look at it but the logistics of who it is and how it got there are total mysteries. As well, there are some issues to be had with the starting half where the build-up of their relationships comes at the expense of the creature which comes off rather slow for some. These here are the main problems though.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Graphic Language.

I need my hour and a half back. The lead actress acting sucked & Jena sucked with her continuous eye rolls. Grandpa acting was better. The storyline sucked, the plot sucked and the movie as a whole sucked. ,
