Match #1: Viking Rules Match – Ivar def. Kofi Kingston The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The New Day’s Kofi Kingston did his best to bring his Power of Positivity to combat all the carnage and mayhem of a Viking Rules Match, but the Viking Rules specialist Ivar came out on top. With the match breaking down, Valhalla leaped onto Kingston until Xavier Woods came down to make the save. Despite this, Woods got squished by an Ivar splash onto the barricade. Back in the ring, Ivar intercepted a Trouble in Paradise to send Kingston crashing through the table.

Plot: The Expendables go after a team of mercenaries connected to a legendary arms dealer whose identity is unknown.
Review: Millennium Media has taken nine years to develop a fourth entry into the Expendables series. Things have changed in the near-decade since the last movie, which is reflected in the fact that this series instalment is much smaller scale than the ones that came before it. It’s primarily a spin-off entry for Jason Statham’s Lee Christmas, with the titular Expendables only supporting our hero on a personal mission, with Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross contributing little more than a cameo.
While that’s undeniably disappointing, Expend4bles is still a fun enough action flick if you keep your expectations in check. The budget seems much smaller than it was for the previous films, with abysmal CGI. Most of the action is confined to a cargo ship, as the Expendables...

The Island wastes no time in establishing just how evil its villain, Manuel is. As he’s talking to Nora, a singer auditioning at one of his properties, the waiter spills her drink on her. His response isn’t to fire the man but to stab him in the neck and tell the shocked woman, “Go get cleaned up, you work for me now.”
In Los Angeles Mark and his partner Phil are working undercover setting up a drug bust. This being an action film it naturally goes bad, but that’s not the worst thing Mark is going to have to deal with today. He gets a call telling him his brother has been murdered on the island where they grew up.

For a high octane action film starring Vin Diesel as an extreme athlete version of James Bond, "XXX3: Return of Xander Cage" is much more entertaining than it has any right to be. With "Fast X" quickly approaching to help kick-off the summer season, it's clear Diesel has learned that, sometimes, there is safety in numbers. Having a huge cast around you helps take the pressure off of the actor at the top of the call sheet, and Diesel embraced the idea of having a team of some of the best action stars in the world come on board for the third adventure of Xander Cage.
Directed by DJ Caruso, the culmination of one of the most ridiculously entertaining action franchises in recent memory featured a stacked cast that included Donnie Yen, Ruby Rose, Samuel L. Jackson, Kris Wu, Toni Collette, and Thai boxer extraordinaire Tony Jaa as a bleach blonde villain named Talon.

"You're in the UK now - protocol is everything." Lionsgate has revealed the action-packed official trailer for an international crime thriller titled One Ranger, the latest from action filmmaker Jesse V. Johnson. This one is set to open in May, yet another of these action dime-a-dozen films they're churning out left and right. The film follows a Texas Ranger as he is recruited by British Intelligence to track down a dangerous terrorist and stop him from attacking London. He must help them bring the outlaw to justice — dead or alive. The film stars John Malkovich as one of the Brits, with Thomas Jane as the Texas Ranger, plus Dominique Tipper, Dean Jagger, Jess Liaudin, Rachel Wilde, Nick Moran, and Patrick Bergin. Oh damn this looks totally nuts, in good ways & bad, especially with that mustache Thomas Jane has and his thick accent. // Continue Reading ›...

"Just get rid of them both, whatever the cost." Another day, another bad Bruce Willis action movie. There's an official trailer available now for White Elephant, the latest from the mindless action filmmaker Jesse V. Johnson. When an assassination attempt goes wrong, an ex-marine-turned-mob enforcer is forced to set things right or face the wrath of his ruthless mob boss. If that sounds like nearly every other boring action film recently, it's because it is exactly that, and they're not doing much different besides just shaking the bottle each time. Bruce Willis & Michael Rooker star, along with Michael Rose, Olga Kurylenko, Vadhir Derbez, and John Malkovich. This looks so bland and awful, please don't waste any of your time on this. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jesse V. Johnson's White Elephant, direct from YouTube: When an assassination attempt is witnessed by two cops, an ex-marine ...

English playwright William Congreve wrote that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned back in 1697. Now Jesse V. Johnson and writers Katharine Lee McEwan (Solitary) and Romain Serir (The Girl with Two Faces) are out to prove it’s still true with Hell Hath No Fury, a World War II set story of a woman forced to fight against both sides in order to survive.

After another polarising Big Four Pay-Per-View let down (Royal Rumble 2021 remains this year’s sole high spot for WWE’s biggest four PPVs) in a wonky SummerSlam, we were hoping for some electricity as WWE went extreme with the stipulation-heavy PPV Extreme Rules. Yeah, about that. This show was already being mocked somewhat online as ‘Regular Rules’, as there were virtually no stipulations announced for any of the night’s matches, barring a last minute addition to the main event (announced more out of necessity really). Like their Hell in a Cell event, one wonders if WWE should do away with events themed around gimmick matches and just let those stipulations happen organically as feuds dictate, y’know, like they used to?
Anyway, let’s see if some low expectations could be overcome on the night…

This Warrior review contains spoilers.
Warrior Season 2 Episode 6 heads for the Mexican border for a No Holds Barred tournament that has been teased all season long. Apart from Ah Toy’s (Olivia Cheng) trips to Nellie’s (Miranda Raison) Sonoma winery in the previous episode, Warrior seldom leaves San Francisco except for one notable exception – Season 1 Episode 5: “The Blood and the Sh*t.” That was an outlier tale where Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji) and Young Jun (Jason Tobin) were transporting a coffin and got trapped by bandits in a desert saloon with several bystanders.
With undertones of The Seven Samurai, it was an homage to spaghetti westerns, complete with a classic ride into the sunset and even a “The End” credit. It was one of the best episodes of Season 1, almost a standalone story because it did nothing to advance the overarching tale, while this new episode is pivotal...

Independent distributor WellGo USA has secured North American distribution rights for action-packed sci-fi comedy “Max Cloud.” The company plans to give it a digital on-demand release in December. A theatrical release remains a possibility, but will be determined by the state of the coronavirus-strained exhibition sector.

Despite The Hurt Business lurking at ringside and the lights in the WWE Performance Center flickering on and off during the match, Apollo Crews persevered and pinned Mvp with the Toss Powerbomb to retain his United States Title and take hold of the new championship.
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – I thought this turned out really well, Mvp looking formidable and Apollo looking like he was a star. We imagine it’s never thrilling to be recognized for your past work. Yet when you have action movie talents like Scott Adkins and Louis Mandylor on hand, it makes absolute sense a certain type of fan will crop up—and likely need a likely beat down in some circumstances! That’s at least one humorous takeaway from a new exclusive clip of Payback: Debt Collectors 2, an action-thriller starring Scott Adkins and Louis Mandylor.
In the film, Adkins and Mandylor star as a pair of debt collecting heavies who are muscle for a particular type of bad men—all while avoiding another group entirely that wants them dead. And in the scene we have below, the men known as French and Sue are starting their morning by getting hassled for the fact Mandylor used to star in a direct-to-video martial arts movie named Ninja. Growing up action movies were, for me, second only to horror flicks as my go to genre. I used to scour the pages of Impact for news on the latest films and then pre-order the VHS at my local video shop – because yes, back in the day you could actually pre-order a video rental and I Always had to be first to rent my most-anticipated flicks! I mention this only because it was back in that era that the action movie star was king. Starting out with the likes of Stallone and Schwarzenegger, the VHS era gave birth to a myriad of action movie superstars: guys like Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Jeff Speakman, Jeff Wincott and the queen of action films Cynthia Rothrock… all of whom carved out careers in what were – for the most part – direct to video films.

Duke stars as (Swin) who alongside Liam Hemsworth (Kyle) are drug runners for a drug kingpin named Frog who is played very brilliantly by Vince Vaughn. When mistakes are made, and things go awry Swin and Kyle find themselves in a deadly situation. The cast is full of noteworthy actors including John Malkovich, Vivica A. Fox, and Michael Kenneth Williams. Arkansas is based on a book by John Brandon that was published in 2009. Duke co-wrote the script with Andrew Boonkrong. The film has a run time of an hour and fifty-seven minutes.

Welcome to this week’s Nwa: Powerrr review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a terrible show. You’ll see why in a second.
Match #1: Zicky Dice defeated Ricky Starks and Matt Cross – Triple Threat Match
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This went about three minutes and was starting to get good, but it got cut off at about three minutes. I’m not s——- you. This only went three minutes. Why even bother watching? What is this, 1985? Who would ever pay for a ticket to a show with a three minute match? The wrestling that did make it in to this flea-sized slit of a match was good, but you’d barely be able see any of it. This was good, but depressing.
Match #2: Trevor Murdoch defeated The Question Mark
My Opinion: 0 out of 5 - Tqm, who was a popular new star for this league,...

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more build to Super ShowDown…and Elimination Chamber…and Wrestlemania…and jo Momma! Bang! Any-way, Gore Vidal wore a thong and we’ve got some wrestling matches.
Match #1: Aleister Black def. Erick Rowan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
We should know by now that Aleister Black is not a man who makes idle threats, and yet it was still somewhat surprising to see the former Nxt Champion, who has vowed to fight anyone and everyone in the locker room, not just hang with the monstrous Erick Rowan but defeat him in decisive fashion. Rowan, of course, didn’t make it easy for Black; the big man’s opponents in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match should be sweating right about now. Nevertheless, The Dutch Destroyer countered Rowan’s fists with knees and feet,...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more bull-s— from the thing that will likely kill the WWE, not because it’s bad, but because it’s so much better by comparison to the main roster programming that the whole roster will abandon Vince’s company for the developmental part of it. That was a long, f——up sentence that I’m too lazy to edit, but it is true. Tommaso Ciampa said he would retire before going to the main roster. That’s f——up too. Vince’ll only have three people left and it won’t be anyone that draws. So, let’s watch Nxt, the thing that will inject new life into the WWE and kill it at the same time. To think, I always thought Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling would be able to deal Vince the death blow.
