I don't get it...
bairjohn12 December 2018
I watched this film because I thought it would be informative as to police brutality, and a documentary on their approach to document said. They did show a few examples of police wrong doing, yet I got more of a let's piss cops off so we can make a documentary.

I gave it a 2 for the valid shot's of cop's doing wrong. Very hard to watch as far as quality of shooting.

Completely Unbiased

Of course the review title is dripping with sarcasm. I gave an extra star for decent production value on what appears to be a limited budget.

This was not good in 2017. Sadly it's aged even more poorly.

This is written through the lens of criminals rather than the victims. I would have loved to see the interviews with the families whose lives were shattered by criminal activity.

Do I believe police make mistakes. Of course I do. All humans make mistakes. Sadly this revisionist documentary makes a monolith of all police. The baiting in this sham is off the charts.

Somehow I wish we would hold derelict politicians to the same standard as police. JMHO.

Gripping documentary
master-775034 March 2018
A real introspective look into the lives of people who stand agaisnt police brutality by filming interactions with cops as bystanders. It delivers an emotional story of their lives in the aftermath of high profile videos that have helped open all of our eyes to the injustices that many see, feel, and experience at the hands of those sworn to protect us and uphold the law. This documentary captures angles and emotions so well, it's engaging, it's stirring, and it's riveting. I appreciate the work they do as Cop Watchers and the work that was put into making this film.

A very poor example of slanted infotainment
icdrgon11 September 2022
A sure way to prove their hatred for police and the incredible service they do at incredible risk to themselves is all this is about. There is no real documentary here, but instead just hate and one sided lies that have no real support.

Don't get me wrong, it starts with some constructive ideas and descends into the normal hatred of authority any Marxist movement would have and not much else. In fact I could not find one thing that actually has real substance in the proper context, other than what the press has slanted their way. From the false "hands up, don't shoot" to the only truth in this ... that the filmmakers do not care about the real issues, but instead only care about political spin. Only worth a watch if you want to see what not to do as a filmmaker and that is be a poor example of infotainment director.

The Truth, as it should be told , shown and experienced.
DuskShadow10 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I give this a personal 8/10 solely based on the quality, not the content.; there are better methods to portray these truths that need to be brought to peoples attention. Better quality production values, audio, longer interview segments and more in depth investigation. With technology increasing in power and capabilities, as well as affordability for the masses, no doubt said needed quality is already upon us or soon to come. That being said, on an emotional level, and a level speaking to ones higher senses, compassion, intelligence, and justice, this documentary gets an official 10/10. It speaks to the truth more than most other "docs" and thus must be elevated to a higher score simply to be brought to peoples viewing attention and recognition as part of a deeper issue needing to be addressed and resolved.

The injustices done upon people and the earth by those " in charge" is a multi generational, centuries upon centuries, millennia old problem. A curse inflicted upon people by those seeking to rule and control in every age and civilization. There have long been "courts" that have had court appointed " police" and enforcers through out history in numerous forms all over the earth. BUt so too has there been untold wrongs done upon people of every race, gender, color, creed, and age group. SO where is the solution? Where is the end to these ongoing evils done in the name of governance and finance that have haunted life since time immemorial? This film at the least should be seen by as many people as possible. A brief but gripping depiction of actual events that should make any rational, sane, intelligent, compassionate, responsible, just and honorable person look at the system as a whole and its agents and stand up to help. Without people helping people, the so called " drones" will gain more power as years pass, until it is not the pawns of the system in uniform doing harm, it will literal be the automated system incarnate holding us all down. Time to wake up and take back your power humanity! Film and show the truth!

Cops provocations by Copwatch
pshvets26 August 2020
A few examples of policy wrongdoing, but mostly self inflicted cops provocations to lure them into wrong doing. Leftist propaganda!

This one similar to Copwatchers
manningnator15 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Another "film" with a similar name showed the same kind of "lacktivism" wherein these "victims" stand around at crime scenes verbally abusing and agitating the police while the latter are doing their jobs. Then when police finally get fed up and arrest one of these filming slobs, the "copwatcher" acts as though their own arrest was somehow illegal (here's a hint: if an officer of the law tells you to 'back up onto the sidewalk', just do it, otherwise you're interfering with police procedures and you will be rightfully arrested). I DO understand that some police break the law themselves, and I'm not against the idea of copwatching, but I am very much against instigating police while you film them, just hoping you can goad them into making a mistake. And one of these CWs has 7 arrests for actual crimes, including drug dealing. He wouldn't be wanting some sort of vengeance, would he? Watch at your own risk of brain cell loss.

Well told and emotional!

Warning: Spoilers
I highly recommend this film made by a dedicated crew. Very important topic!!! Police misconduct effects us all. I loved watching this well told story - the men and women who walk the streets keeping our officers on the straight and narrow are modern day heroes. I highly recommend this watchable import and documentary.
