John Cena made his surprise TV debut here. Kurt Angle had thrown out an open challenge to wrestle anyone, and Cena answered. Angle won. After the match, Cena was congratulated backstage by Rikishi (Solofa Fatu Jr.), Faarooq (Ron Simmons) and Billy Kidman (Peter Gruner). Then the Undertaker (Mark Calaway) walked over, with those three leaving, and he told Cena, "Better luck next time."
The Reverend D-Von (Devon Hughes)/Deacon Batista (Dave Bautista)-Faarooq (Ron Simmons)/Randy Orton match, which the D-Von/Batista team won, was Batista's TV in-ring debut. Before this, he had been D-Von's cornerman and sometimes interfered or attacked D-Von's opponents after his matches.
