When the police go to arrest Nicholas Rider, he runs upstairs, starts a bomb timer, and jumps through a glass window onto the first floor roof. McGarrett follows him upstairs, warns the team to get out before the bomb explodes, then jumps through the same window...shattering the glass *again*.

We see Patterson, in his dress blue uniform recounting events on the USS Arizona during Pearl Harbor. A legend identifies him as Leonard Patterson, Petty Officer, i.e., an enlisted man. The uniform cap on the table next to him, however, has a device indicating it's owner is a commissioned officer.
Previously in the series it was mentioned that Steve McGarrett's grandfather served as an ensign on the USS Arizona and was killed and entombed with much of the crew during the attack on Pearl Harbour on December 7th 1941. At the end of the episode Steve is looking through his grandfather's belongings and handles his military 'dog-tags'. If Steve's grandfather's body was not recovered after the sinking of the Arizona then his dog-tags would remain with his body in the ship.
