- Cary Elwes: That's the first question they ask me, wasn't it fun to go drinking with Andre. Cause they think of him as this legendary drinker and they think it's funny, but in fact he drank because he was in pain. And I asked him one day and he explained to me that his spine and his neck and his knees gave him lots of trouble.
- André the Giant: It's difficult everywhere I go. They don't build things for big people. They build everything for blind people, for crippled people, for some other people but not for big people. So we have to fit in there and it's not too easy all the time.
- Vince McMahon: He never hurt anyone and he was very very proud of that. But if he were to show you who was the boss, you know, it was easy for him to do that.
- David Shoemaker: The stories about Andre's drinking are almost another level of mythology from the man himself. Andre was certainly, I mean, one of if not the greatest drinker that ever lived.
- Hulk Hogan: He was stronger than all of us. He was bigger than all of us. He kept everybody in line. This is not a business of tough guys. If you're in this business, it's to entertain. And for those guys who thought they were tough guys in this business, Andre would straighten them out real quick.
- Ric Flair: Brother, I was with him one night when he drank a hundred and six beers. A hundred and six, yeah.
- Jerry 'The King' Lawler: You knew you weren't gonna beat Andre. That just wasn't in the cards. The understanding was Andre would sell anything that I did to him, but then at the end of the match, Andre was going over. Andre was gonna get his hand raised.
