Family problems, family problems! Emily Silk wakes up from a coma, but she is not yet responsive. Her mother arrives in Berlin to take her back home. Baldwin gets herself romantically attached. Meanwhile, on the other side, Alpha Howard must get his hands dirty with some real spy work, when he, Emily and Ian discover the school of sleeper agents. Aldrich makes the connection between Quayle and the Mole. Two Howards meet the first time after switching sides, and they both have something to tell to each other.
'Love the Lie' closes some searches while opens a new ring of deceptions, and raises some other valid questions. Like, who is Howard Silk? This episode amps up the pace, and it seems like the story is about to get some conclusion (well, at least some of it). Also, I like that they are finally starting to grow Aldrich as a real character with a past.

Sara Serraiocco "Baldwin" Good God she is such a horrible actress. I don't know how in the heck she got the job. There are so many more actresses that would do a phenomenal job..and you picked this one..really?

This is one of the most creative series I've seen. When the premise came up, lots of factors could have made it awful. Not the case. Things get cooking, including the destruction of a Nazi-like school where all but a couple people die, either by their own hands or in a shootout. The two Howards meet again and it's incredibly unpleasant. But the trouble at home for Quayle is probably the most interesting of all and that will need to be resolved as the series moves quickly to its conclusion. At least some things must be played out so the Second Season has a solid foundation. Excellent television.

Loved to see this ep as it made clear that counterpart was ment to stay for far more then the pre-ordered 2 seasons. The people that popped up of nowhere and how noble the still existing cast is acting made it clear. This will roll...
Ok. How can draw this out. How can we make this more boring?
We have enough plot for like 3 episodes, but we need to drag this out for 10 episodes, can you make it happen?
Absolutely.
Ok...ACTORS! Slow down your talking. We need every scene to take up as much time as possible. We need these episodes to last 55 minutes.
And our goal is to bore our audience into submission.
If a viewer makes it all the way through an episode without falling asleep, you aren't doing your job.
When people ask me if they should watch this...or what I thought.
I'll say...don't make me think or talk about it. It will make me fall asleep.
The name of this show should have been SleepInducing.

- TriviaThe title of this episode ("Love The Lie") taken from a line of dialogue in an earlier episode.
- GoofsSupposedly, the cyanide capsules are supposed to be replaced once a year because they go bad. The poison is Potassium Cyanide which does not decompose. It is deliquescent which means it absorbs moisture from the air until it becomes a liquid solution. However, the gelatin capsule will block moisture preventing that from happening for years, maybe decades. If it did happen, the gelatin capsule would also dissolve leaving a gooey mess of gelatin and Potassium Cyanide which would still be poisonous.
The only other mechanism for the decomposition of Potassium Cyanide is exposure to ultraviolet light which will not happen inside a gelatin capsule.
