Touch Chesi Chudu is let down by the poor script.....

Being an experienced actor who has done cop roles in the past, playing the role of Karthikeya was indeed a cakewalk for Ravi Teja. He shows different variations in his character and in the cop role he is effortless with his trademark body language and punch dialogues. He is energetic as well and his comedy scenes with Raashi Khanna work out very well. He gets ample scope to perform in action scenes unlike his last flick Raja The Great and it is a treat watch Ravi Teja in high voltage action sequences. Raashi Khanna gets a decent role and her chemistry with Ravi Teja is too good. She looks gorgeous and performance wise too she is good in Touch Chesi Chudu. It is not an exaggeration to say that she has dominated Ravi Teja in few comedy scenes and it is not an easy thing to do. Seerat Kapoor has a small role and she does justice. Murali Sharma gets an important role and he does justice to it. Vennela Kishore and others were okay in their roles. Freddy Daruwala as the villain looks okay.

Technically, Touch Chesi Chudu fails big time. None of the departments right from the writing department to the music department manage to impress the audience. It was a brave move to go with Pritam Chakraborty's JAM8 as the music composers for the film but it didn't yield positive results. The songs, though composed well, don't have the nativity feel as they have been composed by Bollywood composers. None of the songs except for Pushpa manage to impress the audience. Manisharma who is known for providing some of the best background scores in Tollywood has failed to bring his magic in Touch Chesi Chudu. Background score is pretty average and few high voltage action sequences are let down by Manisharma's background score and it was surprising to see that. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is decent and the visuals look good. Editing by Gautham Raju lacks sharpness and few scenes are too lengthy. Production values by Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner are mediocre and it looks like they've hurried up things to release the movie on time. Action sequences have been composed superbly by the stunt directors Dhilip Subbarayan and Ravi Varma.

Touch Chesi Chudu is let down by the poor script of Vakkantham Vamsi and lackluster direction from the debutant Vikram Sirikonda. The story offers nothing new as Telugu audience have seen stories like these many times but what makes things worst is the amateurish approach of Vikram Sirikonda. Though he utilizes to cash in on the mass body language of Ravi Teja in few action sequences, he fails to bring out a proper commercial entertainer. He starts the movie with an interesting typical Ravi Teja style with fast paces narration and few comedy scenes. But from then he fails to move the story forward, so he brings in a couple of songs which later lead to a twist-oriented interval. He starts the second half on a promising note but as the story gets predictable he has nothing much to do. Vikram Sirikonda gets confused as to go with a perfect commercial entertainer or a logical movie, ends up by giving a project which is neither commercial nor logical. Had he focuses more on bringing the emotional connection to the audience, Touch Chesi Chudu would've been a better project.
