- A character threatens to throw someone off a roof and later tries to follow through on that threat twice.
- One of the auditions aimed at Mr Crystal may be unsettling for some audiences. It depicts a creepy looking bushbaby-like creature singing while staring at the camera with enlarged eyes and a weird smile in a dark, spooky setting.
- Some of the characters from the previous movie don't appear in this film. This may be sad for some viewers.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Jimmy Crystal threatens (like in the preview), but then later actually attempts to throw Mr. Moon off the roof and we don't know it didn't work for a few seconds (Mr. Moon being a Koala is able to cling to his arm). Then at the end Jimmy actually does throw Mr. Moon off a high place to his death, but Rosita rescues him as part of her flying act.
- Jimmy Crystal is easily the most intimidating and frightening Illumination villain so far. At first he starts off as just a grumpy theater owner, but around the second half of the film, he starts to get extremely scary. His two security guards are also pretty frightening characters but not as much as Crystal.
- The scene with Crystal's first attempt to murder Buster by throwing him out of his building window is pretty frightening, although not quite as frightening as the second time he tries to do so near the end.
- Near the end of the film, Jimmy tries to kill Buster a second time by throwing him off a catwalk, and he gives some frightening facial expressions as he does so while it glows red due to the lighting.
