- A disconnected phone call keeps Kongpob and Arthit depressed and introspective. Friends notice but can't break past their sullenness.
- Knot knows Arthit had an argument with Kongpob but can't discern if that's what's bugging his friend (who won't admit to anything wrong). Arthit meets up with ex-girlfriend Namtan, who shares having relationship troubles with Jay (Arthit's ex-best friend) and asks for help with a shy friend who wants to date Kongpob. Back in his dorm room, Arthit finally returns one of Kongpob's many calls. Kongpob starts to tell Arthit his feelings, at which point Arthit abruptly hangs up, leaving both boys hurt and confused. Friends continue to wonder and worry about them as the library beckons all to work on extra credit papers for class.—statmanjeff
- Since Kongpob won't release Arthit's book without first having a conversation, Arthit leaves without them. Best friend Knot, hanging about outside the classroom for Arthit, knows he and Kong were arguing. Arthit denies it, but Knot knows Kong hung about since noon waiting to sort something out and asks why Arhthit avoids him. Keeping to himself, Arthit walks off without another word.
Arthit meets up with ex-girlfriend Namtan at a restaurant. She recalls their previous inseparability. Arthit has a flashback to when he and Jay were best friends and studying, having Cokes [product placement] to boost Jay's energy. Namtan drops by with snacks. She may consider applying for Food Science, but Arthit suggests she apply to Engineering with him; no matter what she applies to, her beauty will likely make her a Freshy Girl. Arthit asks if Jay is considering Architecture (as his mother suggested) or Communication Arts. Whatever they sign up for, Namtan wants them all to apply to the same university. They toast with Cokes in agreement to that.
Washing dishes at the sink, Jay asks Arthit for help for Valentine's Day with his crush on Namtan. His plan: Arthit can take Namtan to dinner where Jay will surprise her with flowers. Though a little taken aback and disconcerted, Arthit agrees to this.
Flashback over, Namtan expresses second thoughts about marrying Jay: he, too busy rehearsing a play for Architecture, doesn't pay her as much attention anymore, even forgetting their third anniversary. Seen in flashback, she waited four hours for him; he didn't show till after the restaurant closed and doggy-bagged their meals. She ordered his favorite dinner (spaghetti) but he already ate. He promises to peel shrimp for her in return, forgetting she doesn't eat shrimp. Well, he'll just have to be a good boy on their planned trip to Lipe Island, which Jay reluctantly must now cancel as the Architecture play has been pushed back two weeks. Smiling through disappointment after disappointment, she asks him to open her anniversary gift and see if he likes it.
Flashback over, he changes the subject to something "less stressful" and asks if Arthit is seeing anyone (he's not but claims he's the target of a lot of crushes) and asks if being leader of the hazers was fun. He seem a little down about that. She next mentions that her shy friend Joy has a crush on Freshy Boy Kongpob and, as her wingwoman, wants details on him - his favorites in color, food, hangout, et cetera. Arthit gives them - his preference for iced coffee and bland food (nothing spicy), his poor cooking skills, his taking forever to dress up but always dressing neatly, his dislike for going out alone, his annoying penchant for heroics (fighting for or protecting others). Arthit adds "I must say that Joy's making a huge mistake liking him. Knowing him will make your head explode."
From his albeit negative description, it doesn't sound to Namtan as if Arthit hates the guy. "Nonsense," says Arthit. As Arthit order iced milk, they switch topics to GPAs. He's doing well, but Namtan doesn't think the pink iced milk he drinks suits him. Kong passes by, spots them laughing in each other's company, and (disturbed) moves on.
Once outside, Namtan thanks Arthit for keeping her company, making her laugh, helping her decompress, and walking her to her car. Noticing Arthit's continuously stressed face, she gives him his own frequently given advice: sort it out; don't leave things hanging.
Back in his room, Kong feels like having a smoke but recalls Arthit telling him to quit. He turns back to his books.
Arthit returns to his room and checks his calls - twenty-one from Kongpob. Looking across the way, Kong's main room is dark. Kong, however, stands over at his balcony and answers a call from Arthit, who says to return his books to the library and keep the comic books (he'll pay the store fine himself). Kongpob asks if Arthit is mad at him and declares that he (Kongpob), not knowing when it happened or how it happened, and knowing he and Arthit are both men, has feeling for Arthit. Before can say "I love you," Arthit hangs up. Both boys feel sad and confused. Kong removes the string Arthit once tied to his wrist.
As May writes in her diary, she smiles at her eraser. Only one letter left of Kongpob's name on it. When it's gone, it will reveal that he will be hers. Mayprang calls, and May smiles at her eraser again.
It's morning and Kongpob dresses for class.
In class, M chides Oak for abandoning him, forcing him to continue his video game alone. Oak had a date but got dumped, which M thinks served him right. Kongpob arrives, listless. The other boys (Tew included) ask after it, but Kong says he simply couldn't sleep last night.
A female teacher informs the class that finals are coming. The midterms revealed some worrisome grades (especially from those who skipped class). She will allow those with troublesome grades to get ten points from an extra report on a topic of her choosing from a list of eight.
The girls come over to check with the boys on their assigned topics. Kong, self-absorbed and unresponsive, leaves. If M is his best friend and doesn't know what's wrong, how're anyone else's chances of figuring it out? May suggests they meet in the library to work on their papers, leaving it to M to invite Kong.
Among the juniors at the food court, Tutah tells Bright to eat his vegetables - lots of 'em. Bright, not needing so much "love" from Tutah, suggests getting beer for tonight, which is an all-too-frequent, never varying suggestion from Bright. Tutah hands over a bottled rice drink [product placement]. Bright calls Tutah gay; in return Tutah threatens to make Bright his boyfriend.
Knot notes Arthit has eaten little and asks if his stomach feels gassy. Arthit "admits' to eating recently, suggesting he's full, so Bright takes his plate to finish it off. Knot hands Arthit a bottle of the rice drink to freshen up. Arthit notices Kongpob walking by at a distance and draws inward.
Kong visits and sits alone in the auditorium, thinking of the SOTUS lessons, specifically when Arthit threw him out. M texts; Kong ignores it. M texts again. M calls and Kong finally answers. M pleads for him to get to the library. "The work is fucking hard."
Still at the food court, Knot invites his mates along to the library. Arthit accepts. Bright won't go anywhere where he's ill-suited (and where there aren't any cute girls), so Tutah accuses him of only belonging to sinful places that involves sex. Getting up to leave, Knot mentions that freshmen will be in he library, causing Arthit to beg off as he recalls his last dissatisfying conversation with Kongpob.
