MGM Resorts, a renowned hospitality and entertainment company, has categorically denied recent claims that suggest pop singer Bruno Mars owes it $50 million in gambling debt.
“We’re proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world’s most thrilling and dynamic performers. From his shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM to the new Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio, Bruno’s brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the globe,” the company said in a statement. “MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM.”
The controversy arose last week when an anonymous source told NewsNation that Mars, 38, owed millions to the MGM hospitality empire. The insider claimed that MGM essentially had ownership over the artist.

Sarah Silverman is taking a new swing at David Letterman’s fondly recalled “Stupid Pet Tricks,” and it would be easy to say something about the comic “going to the dogs” or “hoping the new show has legs.” But Silverman has a lot more in store than skateboarding canines and bubble-popping reptiles.
That’s right, this isn’t your dad’s “Stupid Pet Tricks.”
“The stupid pet tricks happen in front of the camera,” says Silverman during a recent interview, but “we wanted to make it kind of a ‘Muppet Show’ where you see behind the scenes.” Every episode has a storyline that might involve a writers’ room with just one human, or Jack McBrayer as a rival host with his own animal program. Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm, Reggie Watts and Judd Apatow are among the other guests who take on roles within the program. Even Letterman makes an appearance.

I am Leo Pearlman, born in Sunderland, living in London. I am a partner at production company Fulwell 73, where we make content including “Carpool Karaoke” and “Cinderella.” I am a husband, a father, a son and a brother. But I know that even today in some parts of the world there are those who would define me simply as: Jew.
In 1936, my great-grandfather Leo, whose name I am proud to carry, managed to escape from Germany with eight members of his immediate family, including my then 6-year-old grandmother. Of the 32 who stayed, most died in Auschwitz. None survived. My grandmother spent the next 75 years of her life repeating the mantra “Never Again.”
That was now ninety years ago yet the generational trauma persists. It is written into our genetic code. My family, like so many other Jewish families, have been defined by it. We still see the world’s...

Tim Robinson, a cult figure amongst comedians and comedy fans, has his second Emmy of the year for his Netflix series I Think You Should Leave.
After winning the award for Outstanding Actor In A Short Form Comedy Or Drama Series at yesterday’s event, the second time that he has won that award, he has now won the award for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama Or Variety Series.
It was somewhat of a surprise given that James Corden’s Apple series Carpool Karaoke, which has won the award for two years in a row, was also nominated, coming off the back of ending his stint on The Late Late Show, the series responsible for originating the musical car ride.
Robinson also beat out Awkwafina Is Hangin’ With Grandma, Better Call Saul: Filmmaker Training and Only Murders In The Building: One Killer Question.

It’s been a strange year for late-night and things are only going to get weirder.
All of the late-night shows were dark between May and October as as a result of the writers strike and the genre lost one of its longer-running shows as The Late Late Show, which has run for over 5,000 episodes since 1995, is to be replaced by an old Comedy Central game show.
The change hasn’t been quite as significant as last year when James Corden and Trevor Noah revealed they’d be stepping down, Warner Bros. Discovery’s new regime killed Samantha Bee’s Full Frontal and Desus & Mero, who, for some, were the duo to reinvigorate the field, broke up.
Late-night, it seems, is just ticking along.

Corden stepped aside as host of CBS’ Late Late Show in April as he planned a move from Los Angeles back to his home in London (CBS ultimately opted to replace the show with a different concept, After Midnight, hosted by Taylor Tomlinson).
CAA brokered the deal with SiriusXM for Corden.
At SiriusXM he joins another former late night host, Conan O’Brien, in hosting an interview podcast. O’Brien sold his Team Coco podcast business to SiriusXM for $150 million last year,...

There are few people who can make the drive to school one of the best days ever, and Olivia Rodrigo is one of them.
On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host and his wife Molly surprised their 9-year-old daughter Jane and 6-year-old son Billy on the way to school. After asking if they were excited to “learn things in school today,” Jane replied, “Not really… I don’t like school.”
Looking to turn the day around, Jimmy suddenly announced, “There a hitchhiker up here” as he pulled up to Rodrigo herself.

Britney Spears once said that, despite her superstar status, dating can be a real challenge. But that doesn't mean she hasn't had her fair share of romances. While the young love Spears and Justin Timberlake once shared may be her most notable romance to date, you may have forgotten that she also dated former Hollywood bad boy Colin Farrell and even married her high school boyfriend Jason Alexander.
During her "Carpool Karaoke" session with James Corden back in August 2016, the singer said, "I think I might not ever go to men again, do the whole men thing anymore, or get married. I'm just done with men . . . I'm not going to marry someone. No, I don't believe in marriage anymore."
Well, it seems Spears had a change of heart, because she then moved on with Sam Asghari, whom she married in June 2022. Their marriage only lasted a year, however, since Asghari...

It wasn’t during her first date with Jonathan Scott that Zooey Deschanel recognized the Property Brothers star as “the one.” In fact, the New Girl alum knew before their first date even began they were a match. What Deschanel described as a “dream” move on her now-fiancé’s part and how they had instant “chemistry.”
Jonathan’s ‘schedule’ for the first date ‘impressed’ Zooey
Scott and Deschanel, who met in 2019 while filming Carpool Karaoke (more on that later), had a three-part first date. They kicked it off with dinner followed by a visit to an escape room and, finally, karaoke.
But it wasn’t the sheer volume of activities Deschanel found impressive. Rather, Scott gave her a schedule for the evening.
“The very first date we went on, you were impressed because I sent you a schedule,” Scott recalled in an October 2023 People interview. “I was like, ‘Oh my God.

Actress Olivia Wilde has her own favourite singer which is pop star Justin Bieber who she proceeded to call the ‘greatest singer on Earth’. The actress and director, 39, appeared on an episode of ‘SubwayTakes’, a one-minute talk show set on the New York City subway, and revealed her very own hot take: ‘people who are good at singing shouldn’t be allowed to do karaoke’, ‘People’ reported.
Wilde explaining her reasoning behind her statement, told show host Kareem Rahma after being asked a hypothetical question that mentioned Justin Bieber, prompting the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ director to interrupt and say “The greatest singer on Earth,” referencing Bieber.

The Late Late Show with James Corden showrunner Ben Winston has revealed how unexpected impacts of the labor strikes cost his production company an unscripted series greenlight.
In a wide-ranging interview with Richard Bacon at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Winston said he believed effects of the actors and writers strike were now filtering into unscripted commissioning. This was because studios and streamers are unsure of their overall budgets until new deals are struck with actors and writers unions, meaning spending on original series of any genre is an added risk.
“We were named as a company that would do well during the strikes because we’re known for unscripted, but it hasn’t been the case in any way,” said Winston, who runs UK-u.S. producer Fulwell73 with partners including The Late, Late Show presenter and actor James Corden.

Zooey Deschanel has been in the public eye for nearly three decades, and she's accomplished quite a bit in her lifetime. She made her film debut in the 1999 film "Mumford," but arguably became well-known after starring in the beloved 2003 Christmas flick "Elf." Following her success from "Elf," Deschanel appeared in a number of popular movies throughout the remainder of the 2000s, including "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," "Yes Man," and the indie rom-com "500 Days of Summer" alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Film is not the only place Deschanel is popular, however. She is also well-known for her role as Jessica Day in the sitcom "New Girl" and for being one half of the music duo She & Him. Currently, she hosts a cooking show on Max called "What Am I Eating?" and stars as Kelly in the third season of AppleTV+'s "Physical."

At just 41, Ben Winston — the guest on this episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast — is one of the top TV producers in show business. The Brit first made his name in America eight years ago when he became the youngest EP of an American late night show ever, CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden, which was to be hosted by his countryman and dear friend James Corden.
Over the years since, while producing that show from its inception in 2015 through its conclusion earlier this year, Winston has, through Fulwell 73 — the company that he founded and runs with Leo Pearlman, Benjamin Turner and Gabe Turner, as well as Corden, which Variety described as “the go-to production house for A-list talent in unscripted event programming” — taken on a wide variety of other producing gigs as well. Exclusive: Rob Crabbe, who has served as exec producer on The Late Late Show with James Corden for eight years, is moving from late-night into daytime.
Crabbe has been named as showrunner and exec producer of CBS’ The Talk. He replaces Kristin Matthews, who Deadline revealed earlier today was leaving the show after 13 years.
The move will see Crabbe, who was the co-showrunner along with Ben Winston of Corden’s hit late-night show, stay in the CBS family.
Crabbe teamed with Corden and Winston on The Late Late Show in 2015 and the pair remained in charge throughout the run of the show, a rarity in late-night television. He was part of the team that landed a slew of Emmy nominations for both The Late Late Show with James Corden and Carpool Karaoke, one of the show’s breakout segments that also became a spinoff series for Apple.

Sean Evans has consumed approximately 3,000 chicken wings on camera as the host of “Hot Ones,” the viral series that subjects A-list actors, hip hop stars, comedians and other notable figures to unbearably spicy sauces in a traditional talk show format.
The show, produced by Complex’s First We Feast label, has become a go-to on the celebrity promotional circuit – as mandatory and beneficial as a ride in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. Thursday marks the series’ 300th episode (it features comic John Mulaney challenging his gastrointestinal fortitude) and represents a milestone for a digital project with cable access amenities and a game show hook.
Chris Schonberger, creator of “Hot Ones,” marvels at how far the series has come. The title has 8.6 million followers across social platforms and has racked 385 million views on TikTok so far this year. On its native platform YouTube, the “Hot Ones” channel counts 91.9 million views in...

Miley Cyrus is known for her incredible voice and hit songs, but she's also known for her big, famous family. While Miley's parents, divorced pair Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, have been a big part of her career, a few of her siblings are in the entertainment industry, too. But just how many siblings does the singer-actor have?
While she used to have Chris and Luke Hemsworth as brother-in-laws on account of her marriage with ex Liam Hemsworth, which ended in August 2019, Miley only has five blood siblings: Trace Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, and a half-brother named Christopher Cody Cyrus - whom Billy has from a previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey. After Billy Ray and Tish's divorce, the two moved on with other relationships and are both engaged to their current partners: Billy to singer-songwriter Firerose; and Tish to "Prison Break" star Dominic Purcell.

Whether he’s on his way to work or just rolling through his hometown of London, England, James Corden always makes time for a good ole carpool karaoke.
Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” performances may be what he’s most know for, having had notable talents from Usher, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and more singing along in the passenger seat. “The Late Late Show with James Corden” host credits singer/songwriter George Michael as the inspiration behind the segment, as the late Wham! singer as his first “Carpool Karaoke” guest when they appeared in the skit back in 2011 for a British charity. In the skit, Michael and Corden sang several songs, which eventually gave Corden the idea to turn it into a portion on his show when the talk show debuted on March 23, 2015.

The eligibility window for this year’s Emmys cycle closed May 31. The hanging episode rule has gone the way of Barry Berkman, which means this week’s TV awards contenders to watch are kind of an odd bunch: mostly episodes that aired earlier in the week or currently airing shows whose full seasons won’t be eligible. But you don’t care about that — you just want to know what shows are worth watching.
A nominee in 2022 for Best Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series, the extremely memeable sketch comedy “I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson” returned to Netflix for its highly anticipated third season on May 30, making its six episodes eligible for this year’s awards cycle. The unpredictable series from Robinson and Zach Kanin earned the former the award for Best Short Form Actor in 2022 (the show lost to “Carpool Karaoke: The Series”). There is...

“She Loves You” is one of The Beatles’ biggest hits. The repetitive and catchy chorus, “She Loves You/ Yeah, yeah, yeah,” is what makes this song so infectious. However, Paul McCartney’s father wasn’t as into the chorus as the rest of The Beatles and wanted to make a small change that would have been significant.

“She Loves You” was released by The Beatles as a single in 1963. John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote the track. In Anthology, McCartney said he wanted to do an “answering song” in the style of Bobby Rydell’s “Forget Him”. They did abandon the idea, but they had a template for “She Loves You”.
We were in a van up in Newcastle. I’d planned an ‘answering song’ where...

Directioners, it's definitely not the time to give up hope for a One Direction renaissance. Ever since One Direction split in 2016, rumors have been circulating on pretty much a monthly basis about whether Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik will ever reunite. They've been dispelled time and time again, but according to Horan, although a musical reunion may not be on the way, the band is very much still in contact.
In a May 25 interview with E! News, Horan shared that the former bandmates still regularly correspond. "We've had three or four group chats," he said, sharing that there's now a new, particularly active one. "Some of them have been more quiet than others. This new one is definitely louder than most, and it's been great," he said. "I'm sure if I had a look at my phone in a few minutes I'd see some messages.
