Superb acting from well known star David Oluyewo and great writing has always made Agent Kallus a great character and in this episode we see him in great danger as a mission for Ezra, Kanan and Rex clashes with Thrawn's efforts to find the spy amongst his Imperial commanders.

All the characterisation is top class with our usual rebel heroes and Imperial officers all brilliant. Kallus and Thrawn are especially splendid in this with Thrawn really showing his high level of threat.

A great spy thriller.

My rating: 9.5/10.

Grand indeed

Plot; Ezra gets captured in an attempt to extract Agent Kallus, whom the Rebels suspect is in danger of being discovered as a spy.

I was pretty excited when I learned that they were going to introduce Grand Admiral Thrawn on Rebels, but I haven't warmed to their interpretation of him. That is, until now. Having read all of the Thrawn novels, he just felt... off to me. Something about the voice, the cadence, just wasn't what I'd heard in my head all these years. But here he works in--if you'll forgive the phrasing--grand fashion. I particularly liked that he deduced the artwork on Ezra's helmet as the work of Sabine. Art and what it says about a culture was always a key component of the Thrawn character.

The episode is really tense, with a lot of intrigue and scheming. It also ends with a reveal that will have some major implications for Agent Kallus and the Rebels.

Through Imperial Eyes

Even though the previous episode was great, this finally got us back on track. Not only did it superbly add new elements to the overarching plot of the season, but a big thing that has gone through the entire series has finally reached its climax, and it is only a matter of time, before we see Kallus pay a big price for everything that he has done throughout the entire thing. I thought this episode was a great vehicle for some of these characters, and even though there were some elements of the episode that I thought were a little childish, I still found the episode to have a lot on its mind and a lot that it wanted to handle in the limited time that it had. It finally brought back Thrawn in a more menacing manner than he has previously been, and we got to see him in a close combat sequence which was awesome. I hope that they will keep the track going like this, because the pacing has been quite brilliant since they began to focus a little more on wrapping up certain arcs, hopefully leading up to a season finale that will be both explosive and very emotional.

Superbly well acted episode

Finally an episode where the acting was top-notch! It was for the most part subtle, which made the characters look even stronger than in most episodes and they truly kept the overacting from head movements, eyebrows and hands to a minimum. Kudos to directors Ruiz and Ridge, and to the animation team. Loved the pacing of the whole episode as well. Really well directed!

Pretty dang solid. This isn't a plot you ever see in Star Wars, and it fit. Some of it was legitimately intense. I always feel on edge whenever someone sneaks into an imperial office, so sneaking into THRAWN'S was gripping.

I liked him a lot in this by the way. He's one of my favorite Star Wars characters ever, particularly in Zahn's original Heir to the Empire trilogy, and he has felt pretty in line with that for most of this season. This is his best appearance by far though. He's shaping up to be a great antagonist, but I hope we see much more of him in the rest of this season and the next as well!

Also, this was really well acted and paced. It's one of the best in the season for sure.

This was a beautiful episode from Rebels. Finally we can see what Thrawn is capabile of. Not only a keen mind but an outstanding fighter aswell. I really enjoyed comic element of this episode brought by the young liutenant. I can't wait to see the rest.
