its a harsh world on the borderline...
ops-525353 November 2020
Between mexico and usa, life and death, heaven and hell, dreams and mares, and in the end on the mexican side, you end up in the 7th circle of hell, where the meth stings so bad that only a sacred lady my revive you back to the rotten life of living.

im impressed how paul anderson has lost a lot of weight to act out the role as and severly drug addicted u.s. ex-marine, to make him look like pow from the balkan wars, or like an auswitch prisoner ww2, and you may draw similarities to them, the borderwall plays a significant role in this search and maybe rescue operation in and around tijuana mexico.

oh its a harsh story about a woman trying to find her brothers whereabouts, on a place where the cartells rule and the law and order of omerta is the one and only.. there are extremely realistic settings and locations when shooting this film, and i couldnt find many scenes shot in a studio environment here. it has some filmographic issues with shaking cams and some distorted sound here and there, but all over a sincere try .

acting are very good by the main cast, the extras though seems to act from a bid of a syringe of meth. but allover a depressing tale of surtain humans destiny and loss. its a harsh reality in a tough world nowadays, and a recommend from the grumpy old man

A gripping story - for awhile

A very downbeat presentation, which gets a little tiresome about half-way through. The core plot - a sister looking for her brother who's gone missing after being deported - normally wouldn't be compelling on its own.

However, the principle actors certainly put a lot effort into making their characters interesting. In fact, Paul Anderson crowded the red line in that regard. Add to that unusual settings (Tijuana's gritty side), some nifty background music, a few scenes involving special lighting effects, and the result in a movie that is worth watching.

Depressing and kind slow at times. It's interesting and will keep your attention

This is not a high budget film by any means. However, It also has the ability to take the viewer to some pretty rare "in your face" ghetto locations in Tijuana that are just completely in ruin. Why do I say "rare footage"? I think most film crews would pass on filming in the slums of Tijuana. It

Its not a 'happy' movie either. And it keeps being depressing throughout. I don't think I saw one person smile during the entire film. The story is good enough to keep one's attention till the end.
