A dramatic finale.
Sleepin_Dragon5 May 2020
Laura will not give up in her dogged pursuit of Andrew, his villainy knows no bounds, there is a major shock at the conclusion.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion, once again you will find yourself needing to suspend your disbelief, because the events are a bit beyond belief, bit it is a TV drama, it's exciting, dramatic, and it's the ending I'm sure many of us wanted.

I watched this prior to starting the second series, it was better than I thought. Gruffudd and Froggatt are at their best here, both were excellent.

Roll on series 2, 8/10.

Weird Ending

Warning: Spoilers
The ending is very questionable, to say the least. Andrew is wanted for his crimes and there's a haunt after him. It seems like there is a plan for a second season so I thought the ending will stay open, hence the haunt for him is ongoing. In a case that the show was to end now, the proper ending should have been Andrew's arrest. But this ending, where he found dead, is simply out of the blue!

a stupid questionmark

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this last episode recorded from BBC First. After Laura finds the final and ultimate proof of Andrews raping activities and the police are going to arrest him, it all ends up with Andrew lying in the marshes with a cut throat. Of course well deserved but why not let the police find the man and bring him to justice? As a viewer I don't like to be fed up with a stupid questionmark without any clue. So I will remember this "Liar" as rather good but with a stupid ending and therefore no follow, please!

Episode 6

Andrew's evilness and quest for survival knows no bounds as he persuades his son to provide him with an alibi.

It looks like the police have got nowhere with the rape of Laura and DI Harmon but the police still have a plan although it is a rather futile and stupid plan.

Laura though is doing her own detective work and seemingly doing a better job than the police as the action moves three months later and Laura tracks down Andrew's latest flame even though he has closed all of his existing media accounts. Laura has a hunch that Andrew has taken some kind of trophy from his victims.

I was rather nonplussed with the ending which was rather anticlimactic even though it leaves the possibility of a follow on series.

weak

So let me get this straight - Andrew had never called Mia before, and that's why the police didn't check that place. Really? He called her a couple of days before Laura found out. And that's it? Mia and Andrew have never spoken on the phone before that? This is some weak BS, man.
