The Green-Eyed Monster
Prismark1015 September 2017
As the final episode of the first series was a comic take on The Merchant of Venice. The first episode of the second series is inspired by Othello.

Will is desperate to be seen as a gentleman and get himself a coat of arms. Stupidly he thinks a bribe to Robert Greene will do the trick.

Kit has managed to get himself a best friend and it is not Will. He is hanging about with a Moorish prince called Otello. Will thinks befriending Otello will help him to social climb and invites him round for dinner where the prince regales everyone with fantastic tales.

During the feast Kate pretends to be an aristocratic lady and Greene realising that Otello is smitten by Kate plans to arouse the Moorish prince's jealousy.

The structure was too similar with the The Merchant of Venice episode but still enjoyable. Ben Elton managed to insert a sly dig at the Big Brother house as well.
