My two cents
jrneptune30 November 2018
After seeing one reviewer that felt is was somehow transgender related I have to question where they got that from.

I am trying to avoid giving away a spoiler but lets just say in this day and age folks have to consider women's health issues and how some women are raised to value their self-esteem based on their appearance.

Although I thought the short was headed one way early on it gave me a twist that I did not see coming.

See it for yourself and decide. I would watch it again for sure. Something I would want my daughters to see and discuss as well.

Pleasant Surprise

This came on right after another movie late one night. It feels like a short story, and it is. The viewer enters into the action and anxiety of the characters' situation immediately, and the intimacy is instantly established. The most powerful message of this film is that we all experience the same fears about approval and acceptance from those that are important to us and their important people. It reassures me to know that difference is as importance as sameness in human situations. I guess that makes this a bit of a morality tale.

Beautiful Film

I don't want to give anything away, but it was truly a beautiful film that explores womanhood, identity, and relationships.
