Great fun but included some recycled material...
paul_haakonsen12 June 2018
This was actually the first show that I watched from Gabriel Iglesias. And I followed it up with the 2007 "Gabriel Iglesias: Hot and Fluffy" show immediately after as both were on Netflix.

And I must admit that I found him to be a hilarious comedian, and his jokes were entertaining. Gabriel Iglesias had a great on-stage performance and appearance.

His material was good and well delivered. It was straight to the point and had good punchlines. He also had a good way of interacting with the audience as well, and he seemed very much at home on the stage.

However, it was sort of disappointing to find out that some of the material in this 2016 show was blatantly re-used material straight out of the 2007 "Gabriel Iglesias: Hot and Fluffy" show.

One of His Best Concert Films

Warning: Spoilers
Take a look at the big difference between the ratings for this film, very high, and the reviews that trash him. It's clear the latter are not Iglesias's audience, which loves him and finds him very funny.

My wife and I have seen almost everything he's done. We've also seen him live and it was one of the best standups we've ever been to. After two hours (!) of his hilarious prepared routine, he took question from the audience and told stories and jokes for another 40 minutes.

This show was pretty damned funny, and the audience sure loved it. Fluffy was in Hawaii, telling lots of jokes comparing Mexicans to Hawaiians (They're swollen Mexicans!"), making fun of tourists' idea of Hawaii, and of course lots of jokes about kids, food, and being fluffy.

So you know how we know none of the bad reviews have even seen the concert? None of them mentioned any of the above.

If you're a fan, you'll enjoy it. If you're not, you'll probably become one.

Iglesias is funny once again.

Interestingly, this brand new Gabriel Iglesias special is better than Iglesias' last film, the direct to theaters film "The Fluffy Movie". Fortunately, he's back to his older style--with lots of wonderful accents, impressions, sound effects and the like. Among the man topics he covers in this new stand-up film are reports of his death, what it's like to have an 18 year-old son, the lady who collapsed during his routine and needed paramedics, the Brits, automated bathrooms and he saved the best for last--Racist Gift Baskets part two. It's all very enjoyable and PG-13 (apart from a few cuss words it's pretty much family-friendly). So, if you need a laugh and like a good storyteller, try this one out...it just debuted on Netflix this week and I'm glad I saw it.

I'm still waiting to pass out from laughter

I've been watching a lot of stand-up comedies lately, discovered some new faces that I really liked and that I will follow from now on, but I don't think I will do the same with Gabriel Iglesias. It was my first show from him and I'm really not impressed. Maybe I'll give one other show a go just to compare as I read in another review that this was his least funny show so far, so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he just had a bad day. First of all his show was too long, certainly because his jokes aren't that good, it's all much too clean and polished. At one point he told about a fan that fainted from laughing so hard, and the only thing I could think of was that it must not have been from this show because I can't see me fainting from this mediocre comic routine, maybe fall asleep, that would be more likely. When I see really funny comedians perform in a small night club and then I compare Fluffy in front of such a big audience I think it should be the other way around. I'll just watch one more show from him in the hope it gets really better.

didn't like

but this special is by far the least funny thing he has ever done. .There's one about auto-erotic asphyxiation that was really good(even though I saw the punch line coming a mile away) and a couple times he mentions all the horrible things happening in the world, like that it's raining in the forests. Those were the only times he was really funny in this special. The most disappointing part is that he reused a few old jokes

bad

I don't know why i even bothered to watch this, but this was just waste of time. No trolls are needed to give bad review when material is this week and is this unfunny. The gun law bit was OK, but Jim Jefferies already it and way better. I really cannot understand how he can be having any kind of career.

What was this?

I know this guy, I have seen him before on a standup show about upcoming comedians I think. He was funny, he was in front of a small audiance.

Now I see a very large crowd and I see a man who only talks about himself, how famous he his, how many shows he has etc. And he repeats it a lot of times. In every joke there is something where you here him saying he is famous or rich etc. Ofcourse you can mention it but he does it every time. And he is also laughing a lot about his own jokes. I saw some nice things but mostly it is not funny or original. It is boring and I am wondering how you can be so famous by just talking about senseless things. I think most people were not laughing in the audiance, well maybe fake laughing.

a refund for this month for wasting money funding this joke of a show. Seriously that money could have gone to something more enjoyable to watch. After watching this I jumped over to watch two other female stand up comedians and their specials. Funny I actually laughed in those, I guess that's what comedians do-they make you laugh. I won't bash this anymore, the reviews tell it like it is, but please netflix do us all a favor and replaced this with something worth our time and money.
