Light but heart-warming!
michi-0214713 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is about card-writer Darcy and her new boss Will. Located mainly in their office building I'll let your mind wander and puzzle over what this Christmas movie centered on love might be about and how it might turn out.

Of course, unsurprisingly, the movie is predictable. There are the main ingredients: love, drama and of course a happy end. On the other hand, it's a Christmas movie. And as far as I see it, the point of Christmas movies is to warm the watchers' hearts, to lighten the mood and rekindle the Christmas spirit. That's exactly what this movie does. So if you're in need for a heart-lift, go for it!

Cute Movie Ditch the Lead Actress
thibieya12 April 2018
Don't get me wrong. This is a very cute movie and has a great plot, covering all the holidays especially Christmas. However, Darcy is so annoying. Her childish behaviours and those of her colleagues would not be tolerated in an actual workplace. As well, Darcy is just annoying person. Her acting skills are a bit much. A little subtlety can go along way. Also, she reminds me a little of the Grinch Who Stole Xmas.

Well worth Watching
Christmas-Reviewer26 January 2018
Review Date 1/25/2018

PLEASE BEWARE OF SOME REVIEWERS THAT ONLY HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW. WHEN ITS A POSITIVE THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE PRODUCTION. NOW I HAVE NO AGENDA! I REVIEW MOVIES & SPECIALS AS A WAY TO KEEP TRACK OF WHAT I HAVE SEEN! I HAVE DISCOVERED MANY GEMS IN MY QUEST TO SEE AS MANY " C H R I S T M A S " MOVIES AS I CAN.

Now Someone keeps reporting my reviews. I guess they are jealous because I do tell the truth. I want to point out that I never make snide remarks about actors weight or real life sexual orientation. If there acting is terrible or limited "I talk about that". If a story is bad "I will mention that" So why am I being "picked on"? IMDB? When one of my reviews gets deleted IMDB will not even tell me what someone found offensive. Well on to this review.

In this film Darcy Blake has 3 things on her Christmas list; keep writing loveable cards, don't take in any more cats and fall in love with the perfect guy.

What is not on her list a corporate shake up, several new cats and an inconvenient crush on her handsome new boss.

Darcy is a very nice and likable person. She gets along fine with her boss and her co-workers. However with new leadership the beloved Greeting Card Company she works for is now going through a transition and she is afraid what made everything great about the company will soon be gone forever.

A very likable film. The cast is great. The story is a tad predictable but "The film is very good" and you can't help but smile all the way through!

Give it a try!

A Refreshing Change
omijer26 December 2018
Seasons Greetings is a breath of fresh air in the long list of holiday movies. It not only stars two very appealing leads but it allows their relationship to develop in a more normal, and relatable time frame. Each is portrayed is portrayed with insight and with sensitivity. The heroine of the story is a hard worker, with sentimental feelings about paper/printed greeting cards. She has friends at work, warm relationships, and is an upbeat, energetic employee. The leading man is more dour, more serious in his wish to move forward into the digital age, and he enters the story with an agenda that is in stark contract to the woman he is going to have to deal with. Their chemistry is quite negative at the outset, with conflicting agendas clashing. But, in this film's effort to be more e realistic, their relationship develops...slowly..over time..months, actually. And as it develops, it grows into something that is quite lovely and loving, with the attraction being plausible and believable.

The leading actress has an incredible flair for physical comedy..She can be serious when needed, but can also be practically goofy in her physical and facial reactions to different situations..She is a delight to watch..and her lightness and emotional availability eventually charm the leading man..and love develops. This is a refreshing departure from typical Hallmark movies that often have no basis for the leads to relate, much less fall in love..and often over a very short period of time. Here, the love story begins, develops, grows and then reaches its resolution with much more logic and believability.

The secondary roles are also portrayed very well..with one exception..the 'other woman' in the story is a bit too much of a caricature....a bit too cruel and without nuance.. But the other players are gifted actors..The leading lady's best friends at work are real, they are different from one another, they have energy, humor, and great dialogue. The older woman lifetime career role is portrayed with gentle sensitivity, as is the grandfather of the new company owner.

All in all, a truly different Hallmark holiday film and one this viewer recommends highly and would watch again,

A weird mix of corporate politics and Christmas
Dunham164 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Corporate politics movies work. Christmas romance movies work. This movie starts out as a corporate politics movie in a corporate takeover plot ending as a Christmas movie. Each aspect is well played but I am not sure the way each has to be presented blends well into a single product. It is a case of each scene well played BUT the whole seems less than the sum of its very good parts. Worth watching as a series of good scenes but not as a well connected or thought out movie. Laura Bell Bundy shines as the most communicative aspect of the movie

Just ok

Warning: Spoilers
Liked the main characters. She was a bit annoying but oh well. The suicide scene was just bizarre and overacted. Like, how did the dog get up there? Of course it ends with a proposal and a kiss. ugh!

Very Funny and Heartwarming
kathy-2425625 November 2017
I started watching this several times, then when I finally did see the entire movie, I was amazed I had not finished it before. Unlike the typical Hallmark formula, this one takes place over a year. There is no 3 day romance and engagement, it is more like what happens in real life versus the movies. The biggest - and BEST - difference was the humour in it. It honestly was one of the funniest Hallmark's ever, while keeping a touching love story as part too.

The lead characters really made the movie, but I will say at first Casey Manderson did not appeal to me, it did not take long for this to change. Laura Bell Bundy and Kaylan Miles as her friend, were both hilarious.

There are pieces that did not make sense, like the sister just popping in the story and then never seen again at the end, and the mean corporate lady who was not in the story enough to really be concerned about her. But the story and ending are worth pushing through the first ten minutes.

Hello There!
adamjohns-425751 December 2020
I much prefer Casey Manderson when he plays these more loveable characters, he is quite adorable in this one and that topless scene? Whew!

I like the idea of the setting of this film, a greetings card company is quite a clever idea, but it doesn't really have a focus on Christmas that much.

Some of the supporting characters are a bit much and the female lead is a bit frustrating, certainly at the beginning, when she's all ditzy, Etc.

It's a nice story though and an easy watch.

Worth watching for the message it conveys
kamatshubham29 December 2018
Season's greetings truly portrays how feelings and heart felt messages count even in today's digital material world. Although digital apps are widely used today to connect, and convey the same message, a greeting card is just tangible. It conveys the talent, emotion, passion and art of an artist which can be touched and felt. The Holiday card made by Will Harrington for his grandfather as a kid reminds me of the cards my 5 year old daughter makes for me. I have also started saving her cards now in my keepsakes. She'll feel so grateful for this when she grows up.

Lead Actress! If .there was an award for OTT acting, or annoying performance....
Janet16123 November 2020
An OK if predictable daytime TV film. Unfortunately the lead actress is way too annoying. She has an annoying voice, she pulls ridiculous expressions and has an inane grin. I wonder if she was told to over-do the character, someone really needed to tell her to tone it down.

There's a scene when she falls from a chair after being approached from behind - oh dear, if there was an award for the most fake, and overworked scene. Then she's 'drunk' on valentine's night, if I thought she couldn't be mor annoying.................

Predictable and amusing in some parts, the scenes she isn't in!

There are some bad Christmas movies out here, but this isn't one of them. Some of you need to "Get Over Yourselves."
