Just...wow...painful to watch
aedgodfrey7 August 2017
Currently 10 minutes into this movie. At first we were amused with the HORRIBLE lighting, acting, audio and props, zombie makeup etc, but then it got so bad that I paused the movie solely to Google if this movie was made in the early 1960s or perhaps as a high school project on a low quality iPhone. Personally I love zombie movies and am rarely picky about movie quality or plot quality, but this movie is SO hard to take seriously. Boyfriend says, "worst movie I have ever seen". Fun movie if you're down to watch a movie for laughs about low budget, poor makeup and bad acting- otherwise save your money. The only reason I'm going to finish this movie is because I'm on a low budget (much like this movie).

Quite possibly the worst movie ever made
bencardonick30 June 2017
I rarely ever bother to take the time to write a review, but felt the need to write this to warn you: Do not waste your money or the five minutes of your life that you'll spend before you turn off this piece of garbage! Please do not encourage this guy William Lee to continue making more of these awful movies by watching them. I can only imagine that he is behind the positive reviews. To say that this wasn't a bad movie considering the low budget is like saying that a giant, steaming pile of feces doesn't taste bad considering it's free. You have been warned...

What the heck did I just watch?
jjturley30 July 2017
This movie is about zombies roaming the countryside after a nuclear holocaust. That is the gist of it.

Diving deeper in, there are several characters doing different things. There is a serum which is supposed to cure the zombies. There are also Islamic terrorists, Russian agents, evil scientists, and bank robbers. As I followed along and tried to understand, the story threads rolled into a large knot which I could not untangle. I honestly don't know who was doing what, or why. There were some very attractive women in the cast, and the locations (mostly Kentucky) were quite scenic so I stayed to the end of the movie. I knew it ended only when it told me and not from anything that was going on.

Please don't worry, I will not give away spoilers. I don't really know what was going on through most of it. It was long and ended at 133 minutes. I knew it was over, but could not tell you what happened.

This movie was made on a shoestring budget with shaky video camera and sometimes choppy sound. I want to say that a low-budget movie need not be a low-quality one. But in this case, unfortunately, what you pay for is exactly what you get.

I am giving them "2" out of "10." I would have given them a "1" but at least they finished it. I would have given up on it much earlier, if I had been viewing the dailies.

Surprised this was in RedBox
thisismynewid231 July 2017
Not to say that the titles RedBox offers are ever that amazing, but this really sets a new low. Low budget film with terrible acting. Audio quality is poor. Props, set, camera work, and editing work are very poor. Didn't watch enough to see if the story line was any good because I couldn't force myself to watch any more than the first ten minutes before deciding the RedBox rental fee was a sunk cost.

Couldn't turn it off fast enough!
bobbmitchell10 July 2017
Not scary, not funny, just poor lighting, filming, script, editing, acting, effects and sound. We literally couldn't turn it off fast enough. I tried to skip forward to a watchable portion but gave up on that as well. The package should contain a warning that the film is substandard viewing for people of normal intelligence. Perhaps a zombie would enjoy it.

Worst movie ever...
tytromba7 April 2022
I can't even believe I clicked on this crap.... it wasn't even comical. I seriously this this is the worst movie I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of crappy movies. This is like some teenage, high schoolers thought they had a good idea to record a movie and then this is what happened. But it's not even funny, it just made me pissed off that I wasted time watching it. Screw this low budget piece of poop. Everything about this movie is garbage.

Women Empowerment at its best!
stephaniekaywells4 July 2017
A fun Indie Film! Action packed from beginning to end. Truly amazing to see women in powerful leadership roles, rather than tagging along with the men! SFX did not disappoint, the Zombies were wicked! Enjoyed the face paced, low-budget, gorilla filming style, sure to be a Cult Classic! Keep them coming Director William Lee!

Great Flick
hkeith801924 June 2017
William Lee continues to create good films on small budgets. This is a fantastic zombie movie, with actors going the extra mile. Don Smith's performance stands out. The story is a good one and the locations, all in Ohio and Kentucky underscore the belief that California is not the only place to direct and produce a good motion picture.

Not bad for no budget...
triggerjunkie27 June 2017
For not having much of, if any budget, this movie is better than some of those with one out there in Indie-film. William X. Lee is incredibly capable of starting and finishing a project in record time and he overcame many obstacles that arose during this production's filming, from actors leaving, weather and location issues, and did I mention the lack of a budget? This film has its quirks, but overall, it's a decent story with solid acting. Most of the cast are remarkably talented and believable with their forays into feelings of panic, anger, anxiety, comradery, and even humor. Some of the action sequences are gripping with intense gun play and martial arts scenes, but the film lacked the gratuitous and obligatory gore that comes with a "zombie" film.

Be sure to rent it at Red Box near you, available right now, if you can find it. (Red Box release date was June 21, 2017)

Action Flick
janeya-6175327 June 2017
This was extremely fun to watch. The characters were believable and each had a distinct goal. I look forward to the sequel filling in the gaps. It was comical and I loved all of the action. I would not label this a horror film by any means, my only real complaint. It was an action/comedy and would do great in that genre.

Superb
William_x_Lee15 February 2019
My expectations were for an indie action film with guns, zombies and interesting characters. I didn't expect Tom Cruise and a ten million dollar budget, so all the negative reviews here are obviously by people who have unrealistic expectations, or were fired from the film. Oh well, today's social media is a breeding ground for armchair critics and filmmaker wannabes. Question is, if this movie is so bad, why had it been at Redbox for 2 years. Hard to believe Redbox would continue to rent a film that wasn't selling.
