With selfishness and meanness bombarding us in media, it is reassuring to be reminded that magnanimity always acts as a counterbalance. This Bulgarian gem's title is well chosen. The postman is a good man. As one of his poverty-stricken neighbors observes, the measure of a man is his goodness. It is also fitting measure of this movie.

Masterpiece on the Balkans!

So real and natural. Welcome to the Bulgarian villages, most of them looks exactly like this - no work, no young people, no good life... Tragedy, poverty and misery. Abandoned houses and deserted lands. But there a few remaining people still have a hearts, big hearts and always ready to help with anything! Even to share their slice of bread with you... :'(
Most realistic movie ever!

I am bulgarian and when I watched this movie I just felt every molecule in the air. This was and still is the reallity in Bulgaria. Actors are just people living in the village and they don't act they just live and somebody shoots. Just amazing! Ive watched a lot of movies in my life, maybe hundreds and this movie is the most real one.
