Soon after Miranda (Erin Krakow) gets to the Inn she is waving her phone in the air. Ian (Niall Matter) sees her and asks her if she needs some help and she replies that her "GPS isn't working". Ian says that "cell service is a bit spotty up here". True GPS is independent of cell phone service and will work as long as the phone has a clear view of the sky, which it did. The most likely problem was that her phone wasn't able to download a map of the area, which has nothing to do with GPS.
Several: For one when Miranda is talking to her assistant Annie, she mentions "folks from Portland" coming in that she plans to meet. Miranda is an orphan and positively states more than once that she has no family--period. Second the closing credits show Peter's part as "Edward" and Eve Chester's part as "Eve Carson". There is no mention that Miranda's mother ever remarried or Miranda ever referencing having a stepdad.
