This one is much better then the 2nd movie. I found myself laughing at how dumb Pejman and Sam were a lot of time. If you want some legitament comedy that will make you laugh (unlike texas 1). I recommend it.

Have good laugh with 'Pejman' offshoot: ifilm exclusive
ghajariehamir8 June 2019
Ifilm channel has selected 'The Good, the Bad, the Corny' for viewers who would like to have a good laugh with 'Pejman' series offshoot.

The comedy flick directed by Peyman Qasem-Khani was initially supposed to be a sequel to ifilm hit series 'Pejman'; however, it was later evolved into a full-fledged pic standing on its own feet in Iran cinema.

In the movie, all characters were addressed based on the actors' real names just like what cropped up in 'Pejman' series.

In terms of storyline, Qasem-Khani's directorial debut has 'Pejman' series lead actors, Pejman Jamshidi and Sam Derakhshani, on board while both playing their real life roles as a retired footballer and an actor, respectively.

Derakhshani appeared as the titular role's sports agent in 'Pejman' series, whereas in the off-shoot he played his real life role as an actor.

The comedy pair performed quite well in 'The Good, the Bad, the Corny', carrying the comedy load in many sequences of the flick. Just like 'Pejman' series, the two used plenty of verbal humor and practical jokes to create pleasant moments for viewers.

Many comic films are just in the sit-com genre with no catchy story. What makes this film so special is a solid screenplay that keeps the creative narrative flowing.

"Two actors and a police detective, who's teaching them about how to be a cop for their next movie, get caught up in a murder case involving a drug gang," a short synopsis for the flick reads.

Iran box-office hit was granted the Audience Choice award at the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
