Exclusive: Gersh agent Tovah Silbermann has been hired at Mosaic as manager in the comedy department. She becomes the company’s first New York-based rep.
Silbermann comes from two years as a comedy touring agent at Gersh. Before that, she was a live comedy producer, producing comedy shows at venues all over the city. Silbermann is the founder of the Empire Biscuit Comedy Festival, and she was a producer on the IFC Comedy Crib series Boy Band.

“American Idol” winner Maddie Poppe, runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, third-place finisher Gabby Barrett and the rest of the Top 7 are heading out on the road this summer to play a series of live concert dates around the country. Season 8 “Idol” champ Kris Allen will host this trio of season 16 artists as well as Cade Foehner, Jurnee Siani, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard.
The 10-week tour kicks off in Redding, CA on July 11 and concludes on Sept. 16 in the nation’s capital. In between, it will travel to a whopping 45 other cities. Scroll down to see if your town is on the tour map.
The “American Idol” tour was a tradition for the first 14 years of the show on Fox. It showcased such winners as Kelly Clarkson (season 1), Carrie Underwood (season 4) and Allen. However, with the cancellation of “American Idol” by Fox in 2016, the season 15 winner, Trent Harmon, didn’t get a chance to tour.

Maddie Poppe was crowned winner of the 16th season of “American Idol” on Monday night, becoming the first winner of the singing competition at its new home on ABC.
Heading into the finale, it was down to the top three contestants, Gabby Barrett, Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Poppe.
The 19-year-old from Iowa sang Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” for her last performance on Sunday night, which earned heavy praise from judge Katy Perry.

The episode padded out its two-hour run time with a number of musical performances, including by judges Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan — accompanied by a number of this season’s finalists — as well as guests Bebe Rexha, Darius Rucker, Gary Clark Jr., Nick Jonas, Patti Labelle and Yolanda Adams.
