Inside and outside

No pun intended - I don't think that the movie has too many surprises for seasoned horror movie afficionados. That said, even for them, there is stuff to explore here. The way the lead is in a downward spiral and what he is going through - quite the journey. And again, I reckon most will be easy to detect for most watching.

That also means that some may be more annoyed than others. Some will even call it tripe or banal (or both) ... which is all fair. Try to suspend your disbelief and go with the flow though and there is a movie here, that has some quality. Especially considering the low budget this had ... and the one location thing it builds upon ... it is not always easy ... but that is life .. especially for someone like our lead character ... choose life (pun intended)

Pointless Journey

Warning: Spoilers
Sorry, indie filmmakers. Maybe start with a better script?

The setup is okay. But a guy losing his marbles has been done a million times (and brilliantly with "The Shining" 4 decades ago), so why tell THIS story? How is it different? What makes this story so special to tell?

And unlike "The Shining" which had a significant Supernatural component -- none of that is present here. Nothing supernatural, just a guy who's crazy to begin with (though we don't know that at the beginning), and proceeds to lose it more & more during the movie. Ho-hum.

And the big "twist" near the end, that his pregnant girlfriend doesn't even exist...? Yawn.

The only reason this gets more than one star, is because the actors were good. But there's no depth to this story, there's nothing "special" about this story. In short, it's entirely skippable.

Utter banal, insipid tripe

Shill reviews are in already I see, so my turn to give this the proper rating and review it truly deserves.

It is quite the most boring load of old, smelly, rancid pants and completely incomprehensible with a pretentious cherry on top!

You cannot polish a tvrd but do not worry, they did not even try!

I watched it so you do not have to - yip it is that bad!

Better than I thought it would be

Nice little indie psych-thriller. I didn't expect much, but it held my attention the whole time, and was enjoyable. Definitely worth a watch!

Subtle touches got the rating from me
jazzstyle30 November 2021
It's the absolute melding of all underlying elements that won me over in this film. First, the truthfulness of the script. Second, the camera subtly telling us more about the disease and what happens when one fears it's happening. A coup to whoever called the blurred shot after he took his meds. Third, the quietness of the underscoring, along with the timing, coming in and fading out, much like the disease, sneaking up on one. The best, the score never overpowered the dialogue. Fourth, totally engaged and believable characters. No exposition, no messages, no hyperbolic acting. Telegraphing at a minimum. Just life as it happens, a window of reality. Shown, not told. To me, this little gem demonstrates everything essential to outstanding film making.

The performances are terrific
DidYouZThat5 October 2021
Having not seen Nicholas SAENZ or Brea Grant in performances previously, they were TERRIFIC.

The story itself was intriguing and left you guessing as to what is really going on and there's certainly trickery in the cinematography which will keep you guessing and puzzled by what's real and what isn't.

Worth a watch, go support the movie!

i can tell...

You a fairytail, but the director of this flick really makes it a weird and confusive far better one than i do so do let yourself into the biohazardness of the urban interface, and all the rings and things we buy to become satisfied with our lives and pregnancies, and the girlfriend that never ends within the realms of a schizofrenellian groundhog day like comedy drama horror thriller.

Acting is awesomely good, editing done by an expert, music and direction and plotwork are devastatingly good, and if you dont find the clue to this mystery, then have another look. Usually i stop films like this due to the philosophical abstractions in such plots, but you really made me hanging on mr producer.

An 8 from the grrumpy old man, its a do or die kinda film, but ai kainda laiked it.
