A gang robs and kills cash collectors. One of the victims, Igor Govorkov, was married to a worker of a department store that was robbed. Cherkasov and his team investigate and discover that his former wife Vera is the director of the store. The robbers are staying at Ilya Lublinskiy's country house. Sergey and Nyura, new members of the gang, are permitted to stay as they have done well in the recent operation. The new target are the cash collectors of the same store despite being given militia protection.
