I could spend the day picking on 100's of little things that make this horrible.. but frankly, that is extremely low hanging fruit at this point... Instead I will focus on the major things. The screen play is poorly written and needs a rework.. The plot is not confusing as much as missing. The show is full of poorly realized cliché. If I could give this movie a half star I would have. Could have been at least a good idea; If only I could figure out what that idea might have been.

Kind of movie which should be deleted from every movie data base. Its makers should be charged with penal offense. Seems to be filmed with some left over porn sets and horrible actors. Just move on from this torture.

This is not a film, it's a mess. Acting is poor, or strained, dialogue is silly, direction weird, editing ... good lord. This is one of the worst films ever. Courtney Akbar is cute. That's all the plus I can give this horrid mistake. Stay far away!

And NO! There is no ending. What the hell?

Terrible acting, even worse dialog, but the worst is the special effects. They're special all right. Remember "Hardware Wars" special effects? They're stellar compared to the effects in this movie.

Keep your expectations really low and you'll enjoy it more

I wrote this while watching the film. The dialogue seemed a little too natural with blandness and obvious errors that people have when speaking without thinking. Some of the technical jargon could have used a little more work on consistency. The hand held camera work is reasonably good without the extreme shakiness that made Bourne Ultimatum so nauseating to watch. Action sequences weren't too bad but could have been more fluid. The short pauses during action scenes would have benefited by replacing them with slow motion. This movie started with a good story line and ended abruptly without completing the story. I don't know what the budget for this was, but it must have been very low. If your prospective is of a group of inexperienced students first attempt at making a movie, then it was a decent attempt. I don't expect this movie to leave the 1 to 5 dollar discount video bin at your local department store.

Let my start right off by saying that at the time I am writing this review this movie has a 6.5 IMDB score. For most movie lovers and IMDB followers you know that this should mean that this movie should at least be watchable. When I began to watch the trailer i got nauseous! The scenes looked poorly put together the actors lacked the magic for a good movie and while the plot was ok the end result is beyond subpar - and that was easily attained from just the trailer. If you have any doubt feel free to watch the movie and when you're done write your honest review. I'll be very interested to read it.

Good Show But WHERES THE ENDING

I really enjoyed this show however where is the ending. Or is there a PART 2? It had good actors, great martial arts form and excellent scenery. I love paranormal stuff, especially parallel universes, anything out of space. But this show was really good, just needs an ending or a PART 2.

Worst Movie I Ever Seen In My Life

What's the worst thing that sticks out to me.... the ACTING! Merely a bunch of tall white guys in goatees and sunglasses giving STIFF as a branch performances! Totally UNCREATIVE and UNINSPIRING direction throughout the movie.

I researched the director, and find out he gives the leading actress role to his wife Courtney Akbar in every single movie he makes. Keep in mind: This girl has no previous acting experience ever before him. It's highly unprofessional and probably leads to low morale on the film set I can imagine... when every crew member has to witness such level of NEPOTISM! Courtney Akbar obviously treats her husband as her meal ticket, and he's certainly fears she'll divorce him if he gives her anything other than the lead actress role. This, while.. THE GIRL OBVIOUSLY HAS ZERO ACTING ABILITY!!! One thing, you never see the greats as Steven Spielberg or Scorcese just handing over the lead female role to their own wife in every movie they create.

I can't even believe this scored 2.3. This movie is 0. It has nothing to offer! Please don't waste a buck or a minute on this pathetic whatever it is..

So having watched this film twice, I can report that it is clearly the worst film ever produced.

Acting 0/10 Story - 0/10 Effects 1/10 Editing - it appears no editing took place, Production 2/10 - 2 points for the stamina the producer showed in actually finishing this mess

Slightly charming crappola

What were they thinking? I don't think they hired a film editor, and it seems they fired their writers before they finished the script. It literally ends in the middle of the story. You are waiting for the next scene, and the screen goes black, and then the credits start. It reminded me of the old theater days when the film would break, and we all had to go home. And just when it started to get a little bit interesting too. The entire first hour could have been done in 15 minutes and then we could have gotten to the alien planet. Wow...really amazing it was released like this. But, I do always enjoy seeing martial artists and weight lifters duke it out, and who can not love Gary Daniels? It could have been a decent B movie, but it didn't make it because they abandoned it. I gave it three stars - 1 for Gary Daniels, 1 for the intriguing alien, and 1 for the challenge of trying to figure out where it was filmed.

Nice special effects

Craptacular, nonmazing, un-believable. These are just some of the adjectives you'll hear zipping through your head while you watch this film. How many 20-something film school students does it take to make a film like this? Probably half a class... Here are your final exam results... 48% editing. 53% acting. 30% direction. 60% sound. 49% camera work. 21% plot. 0% ending. Average score of 37.28%. Do better or say goodbye to that degree. You have been warned, class!

As bad as it gets

This movie (if you can call it that) had a 5.2 IMDB rating so I thought, well I've watched movies with lower ratings that were fine for me. How this got more than 1, I'll never know. The acting from the start was as bad as I've seen, the special effects, woeful and story line awful. I just can't stress how bad this movie is. If you don't believe me, just watch the first 5 minutes and you'll know what I mean. This review asks if there are any spoilers? I should have said "Yes, if you watch the movie your whole day will be spoilt" After seeing some of the reviews I am speechless and gobsmacked! 10/10 by some reviews, I believe this is what drove the rating up in the first place, come on, be realistic.

The ending is the worst: there is none ! It just ends completely in the middle of it all. Oh by the way there will never be a sequa:l this movie is SO BAD ! ! ! It will never get a funding ! The acting is mostly quite bad. The basic idea of the plot is okay ...sort of... Combat moves and choreography are okay. Why do I give it 3 stars: 2 stars because this movie could have been done even worse. The 3rd star I gave just because reading these comments in IMDB made me laugh so hard and I completely agree with them (except the first 10/10 ratings which clearly were written by people affiliated with this movie)

I usually do not chime in on reviews. In this case I have to speak my mind. Aside from a story that is just awful to acting that looks like it is a primary school audition and directing and editing that makes you think of a middle school project, the cgi looks a lot like it was done on a C64. Even an Amiga 500 could have been better. Who came up with the idea to finance this. Not even a straight to DVD release would make this watchable. If there is anything to learn from this disaster it is to watch that you never again watch anything these producers and directors make. Ever!

Beautiful

ASTRO , is ahead of its time for those still asleep and not awakened to the beauty and love this world holds for many years. Yet, the time is Now ! ASTRO is the door to a new genre of films to be made as the world is awakening to its full potential. But you must watch with your third eye as the way to a new/old life is being shown to you by the lovely Vivian and Viktor. This amazing story shares a message of love and compassion as we learn from Subject A. For those of us awake, I can say I truly enjoyed how they mixed in a message of peace and love in this world as well as knowledge of crystals and their power they hold. ASTRO gives us the answers to life if we are brave enough to look through and receive the message, sex is on a whole other level here and it is more stimulating than ever, if you can feel it .

The signs are everywhere and yes it could have been given a bit more love and affection in the editing and directing department , but overall I bought the movie because I know this is the beginning of something beautiful here. When is part 2 ?

This had school project quality acting from most of the cast, and TV Movie acting from the main leads, main protagonist Jack Adams (Gary Daniels) and main antagonist Alex Biggs (Marshal Hilton). The story starts bland, and tries really hard to build into something, but in the end falls far short of any potential, ending with no real conclusion. It seemed like it was a Made-for-TV movie pilot for a series that was cancelled before the movie was made. there were even scene transitions with long black pauses perfect to place an ad break in, and really broke the already wonky flow. The visual effects were horrible when even compared to "The Adventures of Hercules" TV show from the early 90's. I would avoid this movie if at all possible.

Don't even waste 6-10 minutes...

I made it 6 minutes into this and stopped. Maybe it was 10. I could tell just by watching it that long it was going to be awful. Not sure if I've even given a movie a rating of 1/10 before but this one really deserves it.

Another movie without an ending!

Not only is there no ending to the plot itself but, the movie ends at the beginning of a plot twist. I mean just 30 seconds into a new aspect of the movie being introduced the movie ends. If "Astro II" comes out... I will not watch it, it's not a series, it's supposed to be a movie! Waste of time.

Total snoozer. Slow plot development, really bad dialogue/acting on many characters, ending is sooooo weird? Looks like maybe they were thinking sequel. Yeah, in their dreams!!! The only good thing I can say is make this a party movie and for every time Alex (bad guy) says the name "Jack" - you take a drink. That will hopefully ease the pain on watching this which is why I give it one star.
