This movie looks really good. It has a professional, expensive look. Also, if I may be so blunt, the leading lady looks really good. She's hot alright? Of course in a perfect society it shouldn't matter, but this is horror, so it kind of matters. OK, done with the good stuff. I said she's hot, and she is, except for one thing. Her nails! Oh my god! They are claws. Awful, awful claws, like on a witch. That was scary. The rest of the movie is not. The other character overacts a lot, and it doesn't work very well. Not scary. On the other side of the scale, the leading girl, she's pretty calm to be in that kind of situation. That took me out of it. If I were in her shoes, I would be terrified, but she doesn't seem to be. She tries to look scared in a couple scenes, but it is so tame. A lack of a twist, or point, or reward in the end seems to a trend in horror shorts these days, and I hate that. You need some form of point in the end. Which is sorely lacking here, unfortunately. So yeah, you might wanna skip this one.
Okay, this wasn't the easiest story to follow. I had my own interpretation while watching, but then I read someone else's take-which sounded more complex, more convincing, and maybe even more accurate. Night Night Nancy definitely leaves a lot of unanswered questions, with multiple possible explanations and directions the story could be heading.
That said, I have to praise the lead actress's performance. She's exceptionally good at portraying fear-like truly scared-to-death scared. The rest of the cast just couldn't keep up with her; the gap in performance was so wide, it almost hurt to watch.

How many times have we had the killer in the house? There is nothing the least bit imaginative about this film. Will she fight back? Will there be a surprise at the end? Will the writer come up with something fresh? This does not appear to be the case. It is well photographed and that's about it.
The details are the only motif for see this short film. the nails, the cinematography, the run in house. the photos. the wrong part is the use of them. the story is so known than it could give any surprise. the end is predactable. the performance not real convincing. it could be a decent horror if you are not familiar with the genre. if you are, "Night Night Nancy" remains only other short horror from to manuy others.
