Excellent series on rescue in the Alps, with excellent quality of footage and really exciting stories about the lives of the people who work in the place.

I came upon this show by mistake and am so glad I did! This show was real, informational, and full of excellent footage! Having never been to the Matterhorn, I had no idea just how dangerous the area was! This was truly an eye opening documentary to see and I wish I could see a follow up to it!
fantastic series

Well worth the time spent watching this on Netflix. Great Cinematography in a location that has challenges.,
however. whoever did the Audio on this series should be fired. Using 2 Rotor system sounds when none of the equipment used has a 2 rotor system
is all I could pay attention to when I was hearing rotor sounds. the proper sounds for aircraft on screen was probably less than 20% of the time.
had the sound folks just used the proper sounds this would have been an easy 10 star review . even the folks at Air Zermatt probably cringed when watching the show .
Best real life type show I've seen in YEARS.

Awesome. Real life mountain rescues. Not edited like every other horrible "discovery channel" tv show...
That should say enough, but this show is even better then that. It's just a show that tells a story about an awesome group of people. Straight forward.
It doesn't waste your LIFE, it tells the story once and it's a good story.

Excellent fotage and editing. The stories are supposed to be all real facts such that you have not clearly to expect any fictional plot to develop. At times it gets a bit slow and some parts sounds a bit grandiloquent and excessively dramatic.
I don't know if it could be considered a documentary serie. Personally I would have appreciated more technical information and divulgation both about the medical activities, the geography, the story of the area and something more about aviation matter.
Nice entertainment

Warning: Spoilers
The landscape you get to see is breathtakingly beautiful and the rescue missions are exciting. However, there is a lot of bragging about the quality of the pilots, the helicopters, the mountaineers and the doctors. In my opinion, they can brag a bit about the quality of the services they provide, but it's just too much.
Funniest quote (not exactly sure what it's supposed to mean): "the smallest part of the helicopter is not a screw or something. It's the pilot's brain."
Couldn't stop laughing for ten minutes straight!

This is some of the most self serving egotistical tv I've watched in a long time.

It's boring and the people in it are boring which I suppose really is how you want your rescuers ;)
Look it's a well edited and has come great video footage but beyond that all it does it gloat about how amazing they are. It's a great and tough job and one that a lot of people would love to do so love, see get over yourselves. It offers very little else except some benign rescue attempts.
Better off watching everest rescue.
