Quotes

  • Laurel : After your dad died, did your mom make you still act like a family?

    Matthew Casey : Not exactly.

Laurel : After my mom died, Dad made us have these family dinners. I always hated it.

Matthew Casey : [explosions start]  Laurel, we're out of time, go!

Laurel : If my dad wakes up, tell him the dinners weren't so bad.

  • Matthew Casey : Grounded, huh?

Laurel : I snuck out, came home late.

Matthew Casey : How late's late?

Laurel : 1 in the morning.

Matthew Casey : I'm with your dad on that one.

Laurel : My dad's out all night too, working. I can't believe he even noticed, or cared.

Matthew Casey : It's dads' job to care.

Laurel : The only people who say stuff like that are ones whose dads always took them fishing and stuff.

Matthew Casey : Actually, my dad died when I was just a little older than you.

  • Matthew Casey : The acid's heading over to those piles of aluminum shavings.

    Laurel : So what?

Matthew Casey : When sulfuric acid comes in contact with aluminum, it creates a chemical reaction, an explosion happens. We have to get out of here!

  • Matthew Casey : Laurel, I need you to see if you can fit through that hole.

    Laurel : But...

    [pop and air escaping]

Laurel : Is that the explosion?

Matthew Casey : No, that would be louder, but I need you to tell me what's happening in there.

Laurel : Okay, okay. The box on the wall is shooting sparks everywhere!

Matthew Casey : Laurel, listen, the acid's hitting the conduit on the warehouse floor. I need you to go through that hole, go out that door, and call 911.

Laurel : What? What about my dad?

Matthew Casey : I need to stay here to help him. It has to be you.

Laurel : No, no, no, no. No, I can't do that. I can't leave him, not after my mom...

Matthew Casey : Laurel. I'm sorry about your mom. It's not fair you have to worry about your dad, too. Nobody else is dying today. Not if you do what I'm asking you to do.

    Laurel : Okay.

Matthew Casey : Here, use this. Cover your face with it, it'll shield you from the sparks.

Laurel : Okay. After your dad died, did your mom still make you act like a family?

    Matthew Casey : Not exactly.

Laurel : Dad made us have these family dinners. God, I hated them.

Matthew Casey : Laurel, we're out of time.

Laurel : If he wakes up, can you tell him the dinners weren't so bad?

Matthew Casey : I'll tell him.

    [explosion]

Matthew Casey : We're out of time! Go! Go! Now!

Laurel : Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
