- We see a woman lying on top of a man, both fully clothed (she is reenacting something which she used to do with her husband), the two are facing one another and the camera focuses on the closeness of their faces. The scene is however non-sexual.

- Brief conversation revolving around a sexual encounter that happned in the past, the encounter is not described graphically.

- The violence in the movie is very graphic, explicit, disturbing, and looks very real. The most graphic scene is the aftermath of a man committing suicide, half of his head is blown off, and brains and bones are shown. Many violent, graphic disturbing images throughout.
- The entire film has a somber, disconcerting tone.

- A man wraps his upper body with barbed wire to represent Jesus Christ. Blood is seen in strips and lines around his entire upper body. Extremely graphic.
