- Jaime Lannister stands before Daenerys, Jon and Sansa in the main hall of Winterfell. While deciding his fate, his prior actions speak other wise. The rest goes on with everyone catching up to what they've experienced over the past few years. But the battle is nearly here.
- Proudly, calmly braving the Stark court, Jaime reveals Cersei's jealous treason to to the Targaryen-Stark alliance, having hired the Golden Company, joins them as able general after Brienne vouches for his honor and apologizes for crippling Bran, who replies he harbors no anger and says they are no longer the same people, the fateful past shapes all. Daenerys doubts Tyrion's Hand capacities for his having believed Cersei, but Jorah intercedes on his behalf. Citing their mutual love for Jon, Daenerys tries to gain Sansa's trust, but Sansa says the North no longer bows to outsiders. Theon, Edd, Tormund and Beric arrive at Winterfell, the latter three reporting the Undead army's impending arrival. Bran volunteers he lure out the Night King, who intends to destroy the Three-Eyed Raven, Theon protect Bran with the Ironborn troops. Arya gets a dragon-glass weapon and intimately questions and seduces Gendry, wanting not to die as virgins. Jaime knights Brienne during the long, cold, fearful night of wait with drinks and stories. Sam presents Jorah with House Tarly's ancestral sword. Daenerys no longer trusts Tyrion's judgment for his having believed Cersei, but Jorah asks that she forgive Tyrion's mistakes. Citing their mutual love for Jon, Daenerys tries to gain Sansa's trust, but Sansa says the North vowed never to bow to anyone again. Theon, Edd, Tormund, and Beric arrive at Winterfell, with the latter three reporting the undead army's impending arrival. Bran proposes he lure out the Night King, who intends to destroy the Three-Eyed Raven. Theon and the Ironborn will protect Bran. Arya seduces Gendry, wanting to experience sex before they die. Jaime formally anoints Brienne as a knight. Jorah fails to dissuade Lyanna Mormont from fighting, and Sam presents Jorah with House Tarly's ancestral sword. As the Army of the Dead approaches, Jon reveals his true lineage to Daenerys, who recognizes his claim to the Iron Throne.
- Daenerys and Sansa both contemplate the fate of Jaime Lannister, who reveals Cersei was lying about sending her army. They let Jaime fight for them after Brienne vouches for him. Jaime speaks with Bran and apologizes for trying to kill him, but Bran holds no anger as that action led to both of them becoming who they are today. Meanwhile, Daenerys is angry at Tyrion for believing Cersei, but is mollified by Jorah.
Sansa and Daenerys attempt to clear the air between them based on their mutual love of Jon, but Daenerys doesn't have an answer when Sansa asks about the fate of the North once Daenerys takes the Iron Throne. Theon returns wishing to fight for the Starks. Tormund, Beric, and Edd arrive and tell Jon that the Army of the Dead will arrive before the following morning.
At the war council, Bran persuades them to let him act as bait to lure the Night King, who wishes to kill him. Theon volunteers to defend Bran with the Ironborn, and Jon and Daenerys plan to ambush and destroy the Night King when he reveals himself.
Arya talks to the Hound, and asks him why he came North since he's only ever fought for himself, and he retorts that he had fought for her. Arya then visits Gendry. He reveals he is a bastard of Robert Baratheon. Wanting to lose her virginity before the battle, Arya seduces and sleeps with Gendry.
Tyrion, Jaime, Brienne, Podrick, Davos, and Tormund gather in the meeting hall to drink before the battle. The conversation turns to why women cannot be knighted; in response to Tormund's remark that he would knight Brienne without hesitation, Jaime knights an emotional Brienne.
Jorah fails at attempting to stop Lyanna Mormont from fighting in the battle. Sam approaches Jorah and gives him House Tarly's Valyrian sword Heartsbane, out of gratitude for the influence Jorah's father Jeor had on him.
Daenerys visits Jon in the crypts and he reveals his true parentage to her, but she is skeptical about the reliability of the information. They are interrupted by horn blasts signaling the approach of the Army of the Dead.
