Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Martin Abacus's death is quite sad. He's led into the forest and executed after going to rehab for his alcoholism (see "Violence & Gore").
  • Many disturbing moments where characters make shady business decisions and are threatened by the people they deal with.
  • The death of Zachery's parents is quite sad. One hangs himself, the other dies from a heart attack (see "Violence & Gore").
  • Zachery has increasingly violent, creepy hallucinations and visions as his Ponzi scheme fails.
  • Zachery hears that his mother's candy store may go bankrupt.
  • A man needs money to pay his wife's hospital bills. He sobs when he realizes he was scammed.
  • This film is intended as a dark comedy for adults; despite its frequent humour, it has scenes of financial fraud, murder, suicide and alcohol addiction, all of which may be disturbing to some viewers.

Violence & Gore

  • Martin Abacus's ghost shows up covered in blood, asking Zachery if he regrets killing him. A flashback shows that Martin was still alive after being shot the first time, so Zachery shot him twice to confirm his death.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Veronica shoots Zachery. We see her holding the gun and pointing it at him, the screen goes black, and the shot is heard.
