Not at all entertaining...

Seriously? What was writer Hanh Ngo and director Nguyen Tuan Anh trying to kill you with? Boredom?

I stumbled upon the 2016 Vietnamese action movie "Gang Tay Do" (aka "Killer: Number 7"). And I have to admit that I had never even heard about this movie prior to now in 2022 as I had the opportunity to sit down and watch it. And of course I opted to watch it, on the account of this being an Asian action movie that I hadn't already seen before.

And as it turned out, then the storyline, as written by Hanh Ngo, was just a mess of a train wreck. I have to admit that I didn't really know much of what was going on, or whom the characters were and what their affiliations were to another and whom they were working for or against. The entire structure of the storyline was just a jumbled and scrambled heap. So there was very little enjoyment to be had in "Gang Tay Do".

Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. But I have to admit that I wasn't enjoying what I was seeing, as the actors and actresses were struggling with an uphill battle against a non-existing plot and just downright lousy writing. And with the fact that the characters were essentially faceless clones, then there was little to write home about here.

Sure, there were some fair enough action sequences in "Gang Tay Do". But it was just too little, and it didn't do much to alleviate for the atrocious lack of a proper storyline.

If you enjoy Asian action movies, then there are far, far better choices available out there in a great abundance even.

My rating of "Gang Tay Do" lands on a two out of ten stars.
