a little Brandon James break feels good once in a while

This episode (in the length of two episodes btw) was a nice entertaining extra episode for the upcoming Halloween. It picks up right where it left off after the season 2 finale which is really great, because after the finale you always want new information, new input about the next season, new hints about the next plot. And that is what this episode did. It had a whole different horror story with great references two other horror classics, but it also managed to satisfy that thirst for knowledge that had begun to grow inside me. At least for now. The horror story line for this episode was fun and entertaining, with a few jump scares here and there, but to me it was a little too predictable, which is why I still rate it with 8/10.

Overall a good episode with a -for diversion- refreshing new story line.

Pretty good.

The main issue with the series you could argue, is that the format removes a little of the urgency away. This has the benefit of being pretty much a ninety minute standalone slasher movie. You get the history that comes with The Lakewood survivors, but the film has its own set of rules. Quite a good mystery, some good characters, and a decent bit of gore.

My main issue here, we don't get the usual style reveal, it's lacking the suspense of the main series, the revelation is a little obvious, and too blunt.

Pretty good, but who was the masked figure at the beginning? 7/10.

Cannon fodder

The Halloween special felt a bit rushed to get the full storyline in, but otherwise was pretty good. More cannon fodder fell to the slasher. The beginning and ending felt out of place, could have done without the set up for a third season that didn't happen as such.

Unexpectedly good!

Warning: Spoilers
I am really excited after watching the halloween special of scream. Kieran's death scene was amazing and brutal as an opening scene in any Scream should be. The plot with the "murder island" was highly unexpected and with many more elements as the many references and tributes to many horror movies (Freddy vs Jason, the original Scream, even And then there were None) makes this series more cult than ever. This episode made so many things right compared to the episodes. The amount of horror compared to meaningless drama was just about right. And after all isn't this what the audience expects from a good horror slasher flick? Good death scenes and a nice atmosphere, and this episode provided both. Maybe the killer reveal should have been delayed more but still i was kind of surprised that the killer had taken the place of the original resident of the mansion. Also i would like more involvement of the rest of the group (Audrey, Brooke, Noah,Gustavo ) to the horror who i did not feel were in danger in most of the episode. Overall i am really satisfied by this episode. Can't wait for season 3! Keep up the good work guys!

Great

That was a great series . I watched first and second seasons and i really liked it. I like movies about masked faces and mysterious killers. I watched all scream movies, pretty little liars they were all great .

But in 3rd season i was totally disappointed. I just don't know what is wrong with the people who made the third season !! Are they crazy or something?!

Which stupid person change a series like that? By replacing those lovely characters like Emma, Audrey, Brooke and Noah with these stupid new people.

I write this review to suggest fans of the series avoid watching third season, and imagine this series just has two seasons.

Meh

I'd skip it unless you're a really big fan of the show and feel the desperate need to see more of our characters. I think episode 12 was a fantastic conclusion and I didn't really need anything else. This special is kinda rushed and certain elements are repetitive and just fall flat.

Terrible

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know how I missed that there was a Halloween special after the season 2 finale, but I've just watched this. I assumed this would tie things up since season 3 will be an entirely new cast and storyline. But this was completely & utterly pointless. Reveal who Kieran's accomplice/killer is, or just don't even bother. Waste of time.

Boring as hell!!!

Warning: Spoilers
You watch this and you don't know if this is the beginning of new season or a dull joke. Extremely long and bad paced. They made this episode only for the money. After the silly end of Kieran being the killer and killed later this Halloween "special" makes me not to watch 3rd season at all. I won't waste my time.

Parts: I & II

A homage to John Carpenter's Halloween and the first Scream movie.

This special was disappointing but the show as whole was one of the few decent television adaptations that came from an already established successful horror franchise; Well, Season 1 and 2, I don't want to talk about the dumpster fire that is Season 3 a.k.a. Scream: Resurrection.
