It is always trepidatious, awaiting the second season opener. After an epic Season 1 that pulled most of the strings tightly to at the end, closed most of the doors and left only one, almost bolt-on cliffhanger, I was concerned that they would have little momentum left with which to work.
I needn't have feared... All the elements that made Season 1 the rollercoaster ride it was are still here...
The character dynamics, the intrigue and mystery, the demons (and other, new, sundry miscreants) and the cheeky humour that never gets in the way and, of course, the feels..
One of the show's strong points is that it can deliver the gut-punching shock to Lost Girls along with joy and elation... And the Opener to Season 2 is no exception.
Addendum: I really want to complement them for their choice of cast. This show has a nicely inclusive (some would say overtly PC) cast yet never, for even a single moment, does it feel forced or symbolic... Each and every character was clearly hand-picked for their roles and the on-screen chemistry is electrifying!
Pucker up, buttercup... 'cause mommy took the red pill...
