- Tom juggles dealing with a security breach and preparing for his first television interview as the FBI continues to investigate the Capitol bombing.
- President Kirkman and his staff work to keep a high-level security breach of the White House a secret just as he's about to give his first television interview. Meanwhile, the FBI continues to investigate the Capitol bombing, and Agent Hannah Wells starts to develop her own theories about who was really behind the attack.—ABC Publicity
- It's day 2 after the bombing. A survivor is miraculously pulled from underneath the rubble, he being Congressman Peter MacLeish. A survivor gives Hannah hope that the loved one about who she has told no one that was in the Capitol will also be found alive. But in questioning the Congressman, Hannah decides to use something else she discovers to find out why he survived, her methods less than legal. The good news of a survivor is tempered by the fact that someone has been able to hack into the White House computer system, which is construed as another terrorist attack on US soil. Because of the aftermath of the hack, Tom decides to keep everything about the hack out of the media, but informs Congresswoman Hookstraten as "Congress" about it. That hack strengthens the view that Al-Sicarii is the perpetrator of the attack, but there are still enough doubts among some, including Tom, not yet to disclose that the organization is the attacker, something that would comfort the American populace regardless of if they indeed are the perpetrators. The days goes downhill for Tom, first by a revelation about him which he decides not to deny despite he knowing the perception of him going further downhill - that revelation does indeed cause an issue at President Richmond's funeral that afternoon - and by an act perpetrated by someone unknown in the White House constituting a leak. These negative issues lead to Tom making some key decisions, including who he appoints as his Chief of Staff. Through it all, Tom wants to have some normalcy in his and his family's life by he and Alex deciding on a family dinner night just for the four of them. Something that Alex discovers about Leo may add some unneeded further stress in the Kirkman home.—Huggo
