Confusing - ridiculous
kpanesar-4933917 August 2020
I watched this film without any knowledge of the true story part of it. Anyway, I found this film very confusing, it's goes back and forth so many times, it gets silly, there's so many different twists in the characters stories, that it all just becomes a bit ridiculous. There's seems to be a lot of incestial rape in this film, each person tells a different story to the police to clear their own names, that the whole premise of the film is ruined. To be honest don't waste your time on this film.

Terrible

Want to know how an enthralling, scintillating and complex story about relationships, betrayal and cold blooded murder can be turned into a dull, unconvincing movie ? Watch Dark Chocolate. I honestly didn't know what the point of this movie was! It did not present a PoV, it did not bring alternate interpretations of what had gone on in one of the most high profile murder cases in India. It doesn't even go on to present a conclusion.

Terrible acting from everyone except Mahima ( blame the direction). The only thing that worked for me in the film was the flashback scenes of young Ishani.

The direction is utterly rubbish, dubbing bad, story telling is horrible. Easter of a good Saturday afternoon on Amazon Prime

Crap and Terrible, Please avoid.

Dark Chocolate is a Crime thriller film directed by Agnidev Chatterjee. The film stars Mahima Chaudhry, Riya Sen, Rajesh Sharma, Mumtaz Sorcar, Shataf Figar, Indrashis Roy and Sudip Mukherjee.

The film is based on the sensational high profile Sheena Bora Murder Case.

The best and only way to describe this film in one word is terrible. The film has lots of potential to be a good crime thriller film considering all the facts of the case was widely available the film fails miserably to impress primarily due to lame direction and pathetic acting.

The screenplay of the film is uneven and confusing, acting as mentioned is terrible and apart from Mahima who still tried to do best in her capacity, everyone else disappoints specially Riya Sen and Mumtaz Sorcar.

Climax of the film is equally disappointing. Please avoid watching this crap.

A Real Life Thriller with Chinatown Overtones
Geeta35210 February 2018
This is an absorbing crime thriller based on a real life incident. It moves quickly from one contradictory scene to another, capturing and demanding the viewer's rapt attention as it races to its conclusion. It is a good film; the director, writers and actors all did a superb job in recounting the events of this sad story. If you like crime stories, or stories with several twists and turns then this is the movie for you.

Based On Real Incident

Dark Chocolate Directed By Agnidev Chatterjee is A Crime Thriller. Direction is Fine. Script is Good. Screenplay is Fast Paced & Absorbing. No Nonsense With Real Characters & Strong Dialogues Makes It A Better Thriller Based On Real Incident.

Story Starts When Police Arrest Ramcharan(Rajesh Sharma)Ishani Banerjee Driver And He Reveals About Rina Bardhan(Riya Sen). She Was Murdered By Ishani Banerjee(Mahima Chaudhary)Her Sister & Ishani's Second Husband Shadab Kapoor(Shataf Figar). She is Arrested After A While, She Tells Her Story And Movie Moves Back & Forth. Ishani Had A Bitter Past Which is Shown Cleverly. Shadab is Also Arrested . All Of Them Have Their Own Version Of The Same Story.Movie is Based On Sheena Bora Murder Case.

Mahima Chaudhary Does Better Than Most Of The Cast. Riya Sen As Young Ishani is Better Than Rina Bardhan. She Played Both Characters. Rajesh Sharma Again Brilliant. Only The Police Officers Payal Mukherjee (Mumtaz Sorcar) & Abhishek Chatterjee(Indrashish Roy) Were A Bit Let Down.

Background Music is Good. All in All One Time Watch.
