Its a fine movie.its not bad or very good movie.... ..bcz these kind of movies good or bad the director has to be given credit...AFTER RGVs BHOOT...the Trend of Apartment Horror started...
Hope to see good movies from the directors next film..and hope not to see comercial films from him...

Amazing husband and wife, past memories good all characters not that fun. As Sarika possessed Varun, his brother killed her but Varun escaped from there. Vikram went to the prison many times. I like it little they can do better than that. So graceful and big flop. Gurmeet what a big handsome actor. High level great man love his beautiful wife little daughter. I like him so much my favorite. To the best man and may he get blessings. We should be happy to have him. He is going to the best actor ever in the world. John Abraham has 6 packs than him and sometimes they should meet each other and do movies. Vicky Kaushal nice actor maybe 2nd choice.
A horror film which fails to scare you

Going by the reviews, I was expecting somewhat scary movie but the movie is not at all scary. This sums up the review actually. If a horror movie fails to scare even a bit, it fails.
The plot of the movie is so very predictible. A couple moves into a new house and began to experience new happenings. The wife took some help of a professor and soon the old mystry begins to unfold.
The story is pretty much average and some very old cliche tactics they used in the movie to scare the audience. I mean come on, we have seen these tactics in hundreds of film and these don't work anymore.
The story moves from one plot to another without any explanations. I agree, you don't need an explanation in a predictible script but then scenes should look convincing.
Sarmad Khan's direction is pointless. No any special mention for him. There's hardly anything he should be given credit.
Actors are pretty average ones. Sayani Datta is pretty but lacks convinction. Gurmeet Choudhary tries and does a decent job but lacks conviction. There's a thing with TV actors, they refuse to come out of television when they are facing camera for a feature film. That's the main reason why most of the TV actors fails to make a mark in cinemas.
All in all, Avoid this one. There's pretty much amazing scary movies out there.

What's there in this wife I really can't understand
The makers have made this movie in a single flat and tried to save money as much as they can which is good thing but they failed to make a movie
I think the movie was scripted instantly and shooted at that moment no direction no story no acting no edits no scary scenes no background scores no vfx
Pls don't punish yourself by seeing this movie

The plot of the movie is the same old- married couple moving into a house and things started going wrong and in the climax it's revealed that who among the three- pati, patni or the ghar, has a history with the ghost. The story itself is extremely mediocre and the end even more predictable. What disappointed me the most were the cliche tactics of provoking fear in the viewer. The opening and closing of doors, things mysteriously disappearing from its place, weird noises (music composer trying his best to make it sound fearful) and some shadow sitting inside the cupboard. Aren't these done and dusted in Ramsay movies, already? Gimmicky characters and bad makeup of our dear ghosts make it worse. Performances are quite average. Frankly, I feel the actors don't have much to do in any horror film as it's primarily the direction and screenplay which infuses fear than the acting per se. Gurmeet and Sayani are decent but unfortunately they had a weak film in hand.
Overall, give your brain rest by taking a good 1.5 hour sleep rather than investing it in watching The Wife. I would say it's blah-worthy and rate it 3 stars.

I don't understand people giving it 10 or 9 stars, it's definitely not but it's a below average but I have seen worse than that. I don't understand why people are going crazy about anyone's acting because I don't find any good acting l, The only good thing I like about the movie is that it's able to create some tension from traditional cliched horror story plots like a couple moved into an apartment and strange things start happening to them or door shut/open someone walking behind, bhoot in mirror. That's it. Besides everything else make you yawn most of the time from goofy CGI( it would be considered bad if this movie was released 10 years ago) , bad cinematography 9 the floor never looked 9th or etc Bad script , why psychic ear tops fell off everytime, your main protaganist is so mentally strong that he pulled a bhoot into our world , ignored some deep claw marks on his body but got so scared after the climax ( very expected twist) from nothing. Trust me you would find yourself ahead of the movie most of the time, most of the characters are there for the sake of being there , they don't add anything at l to the story. Tbh if you literally don't have anything to do and can't sleep then you can watch it one time otherwise save ur time you won't miss anything .

It is a decent horror-psychological thriller movie with a decent story. A couple shifts to a new apartment where they are haunted by a female spirit, which is related from Varun's past. The story was not new, but it is the performance of actors which makes the movie worth watching.
Gurmeet has done a decent job in his grey character, but I expected more from him, after watching the trailer. His expressions and dialogue delivery is very good. The climax was predictable but the execution was so good, that it will keep you hooked till the last minute. Director did not tried to do something extraordinary otherwise the movie would be ruined. Rest everything is fine. No complaints. Just enjoy this movie.

Neat psychological thriller. No cheesy scenes or BG sound but smooth film. The way Gurmeet Choudhary has portrayed the role of Varun is commendable. His expressions are outstanding. Perfect in his role.
Gurmeet indeed is an actor of great calibre. He just needs great roles n films.

The ending! It was so scary. Everytime he does a film, he does it with so much perfection, passion and confidence. This film portrayed Varun so nicely. Not only that, but when in the end there was this twist with Varun and VIKRAM was surely the highlight which i never expected ever. WELL DONE TEAM. MY FAMILY AND I LOVED IT THOROUGHLY.

A very nice and good horror movie. Gurmeet Choudhary had acted so well and smoothly was of real . And the movie was a real horror. Gurmeet Choudhary had given his best in this movie... Bollywood should try more experiment with Gurmeet Choudhary. He is full of diversity...a versatile actor.

Okay, the script might not be as good as it should be but Gurmeet has done full justice to the role that he has portrayed in the movie. Sayani Datta is okay considering the role that was given to her. Gurmeet looks convincing as Varun. Hope to see him more in movies.
