"Do ya'll have your fishing licenses?"
derekmoe4 January 2021
Fun show to have on in the background, which gives you a few educational tips about wildlife and regulations. However, most of the show is the game wardens going around and hassling citizens for their fishing licenses.

Half Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom, Half "Cops"
geoman-2247730 July 2021
New Braunfels Texas resident here. I like this show as well as the ones for New Hampshire, Maine, and now Louisiana. It's cool to see them filming at familiar locations that I have visited many times here in TX,.

Only complaint I have is I'd rather see more animal rescues and catching poachers and catching cheating hunters and less injured-hiker carryouts (esp in NH) and hassling kids for smoking weed and having a beer. I understand that these behaviors need monitoring and enforcement, but I really don't want to watch that kind of stuff (reminds me too much of my teen years, lo these 45 years ago).

Idea for fun things for kids
gotkatz21 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy watching LONE STAR LAW. What I think would be for small children not old enough to fish, would be to give the kids a fake Fishing License , so they can feel great that not only does Dad have a license but the kids can have fun with the wardens showing off their little kid license. Give out the mini badges is a great idea that you have already. Making kids understand the laws while still young, will make better adults who'll hopefully follow the laws when they become of age for a real license. What do you think guys?

Entertaining and Educational Show
avakay-9828715 February 2020
I'm an old lady Texan. This is a great series that is both entertaining and educational. I also love seeing all of this great state. I have traveled over much of it, but Texas is a very big state. I have learned so much from watching this show about the laws and needed licenses. I didn't know I would need a hunting license to keep a baby squirrel or a turtle. I know it now ...thanks to this show. I am also impressed with the kindness of the game wardens. They teach all of us that honesty is always the best policy.

I Love This Show!

Lone Star Law shows what Texas Game Wardens go through on a daily basis, from dealing with poachers to arresting bad guys. It is good to know that things are actually being done to prevent poaching!

Hooked me like a Texas fish
godmorpheus16 December 2020
Browsing through all the channels a few weeks ago, I stumbled on this show. I started watching it and was hooked right away. All the Wardens are very professional and treat everyone they come upon with respect and compassion. I am watching all the episodes on the cable on demand. Thanks to the Wardens and those responsible for the show for making a very educational and entertaining show. The only thing that is negative is the constant twangy background music. It is very annoying.

Please actually punish people who hurt animals
ladylarine11 May 2022
I love this show, however; Texas game wardens always let the audience know what a violator COULD be charged with, but rarely follow through. I've seen some really cruel things done to animals, but when they catch the person it's always a 'warning'. Even if they go as far as arresting someone, it's a slap on the wrist. It's a shame.

Leaving a deer to die on its own
wilkesshannon24 March 2024
I just got the tail end of the show when they said that a deer was injured along side of the road. The warden said that the doe would be better off just lettling nature take its course. He mentioned that the deer could be eaten by some coyotes. I think that it is atrocious that the game warden would leave an injured animal to die and suffer such wickedness. How would he like it if he were injured and he was left to suffer and die along side of the road. Other than that, I really enjoy watching all of the game warden shows: Louisiana law, Lone Star Law, Yellowstone Game warden. Your show is very interesting to watch.

These texas game wardens need a real job.
mmkat-6016328 February 2019
It is a joke how these texas game wardens are treating these hunters. Don't watch any episodes out of texas or hunt in Texas. A game warden was giving a hunter a hard time over not having a pen to mark his tags when his truck was right around a corner. Killing a venomous snake is a criminal offense.

"Uhh ... Derrr ... We're Saving the Oyster Population ... we're heroes"
devin-235019 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I can't watch this show anymore. The first couple/few seasons were good, with some of the old timers, but Season 5 on are just unwatchable.

These wardens all think they are so original, blubbering every time they write a ticket, about how they're "saving the oyster population" or "fish populations" - usually adding some concluding ubiquitous comment about "For future generations." Soooo sick of hearing it ... it's literally all they blabbermouth about, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, except a couple of the old timers (the only ones worth watching), and they just all spit out the same line, over and over, as if they're original.

It's supposed to be a tv show about wardens and the "interesting" things they do (first four seasons weren't bad), and instead all it is is a bunch of self-righteous schmucks, who were lucky enough to land one of the few game warden jobs available, drone on and on about how they are saving the planet (yeah, real surprise here morons, but those of us watching the show already know what game wardens do, in general, and we already understand the importance of regulating and protecting wildlife (in fact, unlike most of you actual wardens, we actually went to college and learned about the "tragedy of the commons" in depth, so we don't need to listen to your brainless comments on it).

I swear, season 5 on it's just every single one of these characterless drones spewing about how great they are and how they're saving the planet, and how, thank god they showed up in time to stop some poor starving Mexican from eating a fish he caught, because he has no license, and how they're so wonderful, because they stole the poor starving Mexican's fish and gave it away to a family in need (some middle American who is fat and filthy rich by comparison to the Mexican they took the fish away from).

I guess what is, is this - there is nothing worse than listening to a moron attempt to address and discuss complex topics, topics that the average viewer now a days (all college graduates) understands far better. They literally give the same speech, EVERY SINGLE ONE THEM, and yet each one thinks he/she is original. I can't listen to it anymore.

(Having said all of that - the first four seasons, prior to when that one awesome old timer retired, were worth watching. After that, it's a bunch of self-righteous young kids on power trips and giving speeches about how they are saving the planet. If that's your thing - watch it. If not, run away.
