The first movie, Dead in Tombstone, was fairly okay. Not great but okay. This movie, the second installment, was a bit of a disappointment though. The general idea is a good one. At least it is one I would generally have liked. However, it is really poorly implemented.

Danny is supposed to be the devil's servant imbued with supernatural powers and supposed to kick some serious ass. You know, a bit like Ghost Rider in the old west. Unfortunately he is nothing but. Most of the time he is roaming around sulking and trying to patch things up with his daughter.

He is really not showing much in terms of terrifying presence or supernatural powers. Whenever he springs into action he is just blundering in shooting at everything that moves and usually he gets shot up and "dies" in the process. Afterwards he get's revived and the process starts all over again.

Towards the end of the movie we finally get some supernatural action but it is really too late to save it and not really that impressive to begin with.

On the whole the script is pretty bland and unconvincing. It is more suitable for a TV-show episode than a feature movie.

Really a shame. I generally like Danny Trejo when he is playing bad ass.

Seriously why is it that bad of acting every time he star in it? Is it on purpose? It feels this is on purpose because by now it is getting to be obvious, I mean Arnold is doing way better with his movies since "Terminator" he has definitely improved through the years but Danny Trejo seems to never improve. I really like him and his characters but he is killing me with his acting.

I so wanted to like this movie and in some parts it does deliver, there is an excellent stagecoach sequence when the villains are in "hot pursuit". Danny Trego is OK in the lead but I feel he just cannot have enough talent to carry the film through on his own. The plot is discussed elsewhere but the mixture of a western and the supernatural is always interesting and as I said some sequences are rather well done and some of the landscapes are very impressive. The problem is a weak script and the major "downer" for the entire movie is Jake Busey, he may have inherited his father's looks but certainly none of his acting talent. His performance is one of the worst I have ever seen in a movie and has to be seen and heard to believe such bad acting is possible. A shame because the film is a valiant attempt and let down by the second lead.

I gave this 2 stars only because I like Danny but he can do WAY better than this. This film was bad in so many ways that it's pointless to elaborate. Please Danny ... don't make any more movies like this. I would love to see you make more serious action/adventure films and dramatic roles as well. You are better than this ese.

I only thought that the original "Dead in Tombstone" was just okay, but I decided to give this sequel a chance, given my love for westerns and for the fact that Danny Trejo was returning. Most likely you'll find this sequel a few notches below whatever you thought of the first movie, as I did. I admit that the movie looks pretty slick for the most part, though some interior scenes are either severely underlit or overlit, and there is some very unconvincing CGI blood and gore. But the script is kind of a mess. There are a number of plot points that are either vague or unexplained at all, and the result is that there is a feeling that the filmmakers were making things up as they went along. The sorry and clumsy script may explain why stars Danny Trejo and Jake Busey seem to be going on autopilot instead of delivering their lines with conviction and true menace. As for the action sequences, it comes across as standard stuff at best, not directed or choreographed in a way that grabs your attention. The movie is not dull, I admit, but all the same it's quite unsatisfying to watch.

After the first shootout where Danny's 6-shot guns never ran out of bullets, I quit. Don't waste your time, they sure wasted a lot of money on this stupid movie.

There just shouldn't have been a sequel. The acting is horrible, the script is terrible and the shoot outs are awful.

At a mere 5'6 inches tall and 73 years old, Danny maybe able to scare someone at the nursing home while playing a board game, but please, a western? Never in a million years is he going to convince he could be a real cowboy.

It could be that someone also thought If they dressed him in black, he could pass for a western bad guy.

I closing I will say, this film is just something to watch if you are bored out of your mind..

Colonel Boomer (Jake Busey) suspects that Guerrero (Danny Trejo) knows where a book about black magic rituals is hidden. He threatens to kill his family, consisting of daughter Alicia (Elysia Rotaru) and grandma (Michelle Rios, much too young for the role and therefore covered with ridiculous make-up) if Guerrero doesn't tell him the hiding place. Now Guerrero is undead since his pact with the devil in part 1 and comes back several times from the dead. How can Boomer deal with a man he cannot kill, how can Guerrero save his family, and what does the magic book really do?

The first movie was a horror movie in the disguise of a western, but the sequel - apart from the MacGuffin, the magic book - is a much more traditional western about protecting your family against gunfighters (even if some of them are zombies). The technical qualities are good. For example the scene when Boomer blows up a stagecoach and at the same time, Guerrero is caught in an explosive trap in the town, the two explosions are cut parallel to each other, really elegant editing you hardly ever see in cheap movies. If I voted one notch below for the sequel (6 of 10 after 7 of 10 for the first movie) it's because 'Dead Again' lacks a villain of Mickey Rourke's caliber. Otherwise it is a satisfactory variation of the 'Undead Gunman' theme.

If you enjoy spaghetti westerns (but not made in Italy or Spain), you'll enjoy "Dead Again in Tombstone." If you enjoy spaghetti westerns with supernatural overtones you'll enjoy "Dead Again in Tombstone." If you're a Danny Trejo fan you'll REALLY enjoy "Dead Again in Tombstone." Like Italian westerns, the film serves up plenty of action, and there are no heroes. Some reviewers assert that Trejo can't act. They don't realize that Trejo, may he be a good or bad actor, is more than that. He is a force of nature. Every scene he's in, your eyes are on him. Jake Busey as the baddest of the bad guys is excellent as a "Southern Gentleman" and ex-confederate soldier.

Col Jackson Boomer (Jake Busey) badgers Guerrero (Danny Trejo) to give up the Bone Box (that contains The Devil's Bible, which will insure he has immense power over the entire world). Guerrero has come back from the Dead as Lucifer has him under control, but he claims he has no idea where the box is or what it is.

This is a somewhat supernatural western story and we will see a lot of shooting, blood squirting here and there and numerous explosions…..and oh, yes, a coming back from the dead too. Supernatural, remember?

In time, the Devil's Bible is given to Col Jackson Boomer, but something is wrong. It is not enough and Jackson figures this out. Something is missing. What could it be?

We see Jackson Boomer hanging out in the brothel run by Madame Du Vere (Elizabeth Lavender) and we also see naked girls making out with customers and with each other, too. Guerrero tries to re- establish himself with his estranged daughter Alicia (Elysia Rotaru) and his mother Zerelda De La Cruz (Michelle Rios) who tells Guerrero he must protect the bone box. Later,we see that his mother is quite handy with a gun too.

The acting is good all around, the music is good, the gun fights are well choreographed, but the cinematography is awesome and almost a work of art on their own. Kudos.

Notable: Dean McDermott as Dr Goldsworthy who we suspect is something more than human and he tries to have Guerrero reject Lucifer's hold on him. Supernatural, remember?

This is no holds barred western and is quite rough, but very entertaining. (7/10)

Violence: Yes. Sex: No.. Nudity: Yes. Language: Yes.

Gotta love the 20 shot six shooters.. but it's Danny Trejo. Who seems to have a magical way of making anything he's in watchable. Not much of a plot at all, but like I stated.. it's Danny Trejo. So just put away the history crap, sit back and watch a half decent movie.

If the first film already seemed quite cheap and didn't bet so much on quality, this film is even worse and more miserable. They are both niche films, oriented to satisfy a certain part of the public that looks for raw action films, and not that elegant and classic cinema that almost everyone likes. However, I don't know if this was even able to satisfy the audience for which it was intended.

The problems start with the script, miserably written, and the poor and slick conception of the characters. After abandoning the service of the Devil, Guerrero (in essence he is a recycling of the Ghost Rider, minus the flames and bones) remains immortal and doing justice around. But in this film he'll have to go further and effectively protect a mysterious evil relic that's endlessly sought after by Jackson Boomer, a former Confederate colonel who's hell-bent on unleashing absolute evil upon the land, and who won't hesitate to threaten Guerrero's daughter to get it.

In addition to the endless errors of anachrony, capable of making the mind of an American history teacher boil with indignation, the film falls into successive clichés that make it dull and a little absurd. Furthermore, the action is so intense that the film feels like a gigantic video game, and we never feel any real emotion. If the main character seems purposeless, now that he is doggedly protecting a relic without any sense or religious basis, the villain is even worse: I had already noticed in some films that it is interesting to give the villain the uniform of the Confederates ("The Hateful Eight", for example), but has everyone already forgotten that in wars, and in armies, good and bad men fight on both sides of the barricade?

Danny Trejo doesn't add anything here that he didn't do better in the first film. He's not a bad action actor, but he's a ham in the sentimental scenes, especially when he tries to play with Elysia Rotaru, who plays the hero's sexy and not-too-defenseless daughter. Jake Busey isn't particularly good either, and never poses a real threat no matter how hard he tries, and Elizabeth Lavender is sidelined for most of the film.

As with its predecessor, it bets everything on cheap and permanent action, almost turning into a rock movie or a video game, given the amount of auditory and visual noise, and the poor quality of what is presented to us. It's a rather unfortunate film that would have done better had it never been released.

This comes off like the script was written in a single, drunken sitting. It has a decent concept, but the execution is as bad as the one.to which Delacroix was.subjected in The Green Mile. Horrible acting (I'm looking at your hopeless, stereotypical "southern gentleman" accent Busey). Not even a fun popcorn flick as you'll find your mind drifting.

Here we go again! Danny Trejo returns as Guerrero for another round of killings. This time the antagonist is Jackson Boomer (Jake Busey). He was a friend of Guerrero's stepbrother and is now in pursuit of a box containing a book that will give him incredible power.

The film follows on the events of 'Dead in Tombstone'. We learn more about Guerrero's family and meet his daughter and mother, and also realize there was a reason the Devil made a deal with him in the first film. With Roel Reine returning as director, this is another visually stunning treat - visually even better than the original film. The cinematography is STUNNING. The photography and aerial shots are FANTASTIC. There are some films I'll watch again and again for the sake of the cinematography - and this is such a film. It's one amazing shot after the next. Some shots are breathtakingly beautiful. It's the type of photography you expect from big budget productions.

Just like 'Dead in Tombstone', 'Dead again in Tombstone' is fast-paced and filled with action, adventure, suspense, gore, fantasy, and there's that great score again. As the film progressed, it became more intense with incredible scenes. The carriage chase sequence was stunningly well done. The final act is very supernatural and fantastical, but the film nevertheless remained interesting and exciting. It might not be as good as the original film, but this was good in its own right. I certainly was entertained!

Would I watch it again? Yes.

The plot is hard to follow at best, and the physics make no sense. However, watch this movie and enjoy it for what it is. An absolutely hilarious compilation of what is happening moments. From the unlimited ammo to the explosions and the flying bodies, this movie had me laughing the whole way. I love how random and almost off the cuff the entire thing is. Overall if you want a serious movie this isn't it, but if you want to have a good time watching an inhuman force destroy evil, this is the movie for you.

This was actually a surprisingly nice movie! Especially when taking into consideration the synopsis for the movie, and the fact that it has Danny Trejo and Jake Busey starring in it.

I will say that both Danny Trejo and Jake Busey were performing quite well in "Dead Again in Tombstone". And they were nicely cast for the two roles.

The storyline was rather entertaining as it was a classic western, spiced up with some supernatural elements. And there was also lots of action throughout the movie. So what's not to like?

Sure, this is not a major Hollywood blockbuster, but it definitely was a surprisingly nice movie. Sure, I didn't have much of any expectations to begin with, so I was easily surprised.

I found "Dead Again in Tombstone" to be entertaining and enjoyable, and I can definitely recommend it if you like watching movies with Danny Trejo in it.

Danny Trejo returns once again as the western outlaw Guerrero. The movie opens better than the first one did which I like. It is much more ominous and feels like they are discussing a legend. A mysterious and bloody cowboy rides into town and walks into a saloon and tells the story of Guerrero de la Cruz and what he does. Perfect execution there.

Guerrero is still doing the Devil's work by sending the damned to hell. Strangely the Devil is not ever seen in this movie in any real form. It is a real disappointment because Mickey Rourke was pretty good in the first one. He is talked about a lot, but you never see him. Not even a flashback clip. This film is sorely missing the presence of Mickey Rourke as the Devil. He was menacing and dark and a good foil for Trejo.

Dead Again in Tombstone also rehabs Guerrero by making him a dark good guy who was tricked by the Devil. I find fighting for your soul much more interesting than being God's hitman. Then again, I guess if you cannot get the actor that played the Devil in the last movie you need to do something that takes the character out of the narrative.

While Trejo was a little more tough here, I am bothered that they made him work for God. It is a serious rehab that could have been left for a third film rather than the second. It would have been better to have him fight the Devil's mechanizations than to have been tricked. I think it steers the film towards those boring Pureflix movies. If the reason for this was indeed the loss of Mickey Rourke in the part then send another demon to do his bidding as a middleman.

Jake Busey is pretty good as the villainous Jackson Boomer. He plays him as a little bit of a cocky jerk which is more or less how he plays most of his characters. Boomer is very much a Southern gentleman here of old-style Westerns but also very evil. He apparently learned of the bone box that is the focus of everything before the beginning of the film from Guerrero's half-brother Red Cavanaugh. From my perspective there was implied supernatural knowledge by Red in the opening scenes of the original, but nothing ever came of that. It felt like Boomer was tossed in at the last minute because they could not get Hall to show up. I think if they had waived a little bit more money in the face of Anthony Michael Hall he could have been brought back, and we could have had another showdown between Trejo and Kavanaugh.

Mother de la Cruz (Michelle Rios), Guerrero's mother, looks younger than Trejo. Something about her just did not look older than Trejo. Elysia Rotaru as the daughter Alicia was not too bad. She was a tough character and gave as good as Trejo.

Guerrero gets some help this time from Dr. Goldsworthy (Dean McDermott) who resurrects him when he gets killed by Boomer. Boomer joins forces with a local brothel owner named Madame Du Vere (Elizabeth Lavender). That alliance along with this woman's ability to "see the truth" feels a little out of left field. It just happened. Even more awkward was that this prostitute seemed to abruptly become the arch nemesis of Guerrero's daughter. She had a few bad things to say about Alicia but nothing suggesting they would punch it out in the end.

I draw issue with the interior shots which were very dark. Night or day it was hard to see. Get some lighting in there. We accept a little unrealistic lighting in film but usually in the direction of seeing better. I am not sure if Reiné felt that serious darkness added authenticity or the lighting guy quit before those scenes were done.

The story is not too bad but a little disjointed. Some of the events feel made up as they went along as if they could not film what they wanted but still had to do something since the cameras were there. The acting is better than you would expect from a direct video release. Trejo once again is great as a Western tough guy. But then again Danny Trejo is always good.

Dead Again in Tombstone is a decent supernatural Western. It is not Academy Award material, but it is not a complete waste. They play up the supernatural elements a bit more here than in the last film which is good, but we are missing Mickey Rourke which is not so good. Enjoyable but far from perfect.

The chilly & cold ruggedness of the grim Wild West is back for this Cool sequel of the Cult hit favourite, which i liked as it's got a real stark grim look of those harsh times & back with the bleakness is the excellent Danny Trejo as Guerrero, who is by now a Mythical warrior of vengeance & Trejo is Awesome once again.

Another B-movie star JAKE BUSEY (Starship Troopers) makes for a really slimy & nasty villain for Guerrero to go up against as Jackson Boomer & Busey who is in so many Direct-to-dvd films starred in another Good Trejo movie called REAPER, well worth checking out. Busey is have fun playing this evi leader of a gang who wants a hidden treasure that is a powerful ancient old book, the book of the dead, that will heal him & give his powers to control the dead & the living so a typical movie villain thing to want but it's fun.

With this sequel we get to know Guerrero more & meet his family & we get more a sense of his character here & that he's not a totally evil guy & we like him more so.

Trejo is such a good actor that his lines throughout the whole film feel so natural like it's what you would say & doesn't even feel scripted & i loved him even more so for that as his Guerrero felt real & natural even in this fantasy world. Trejo brings his natural rugged charm to Guerrero once again & as said i felt more for him here as a man & a human even though the devil still commands him. I did miss Mickey Rourke as the devil from the first film as he wasn't here but the film still was decent & hey i liked Jake Busey as the bad guy more here than that of Anthony Michael Hall in the first so both have their better bits & not so good bits. The usual big shootouts without ever reloading is back again but that's usual for a low-budget B-movie anyway especially a cheap Western.

Although a low-budget movie the old western town looks great as it did in the first film, so the production is very good & the music is often moody or frantic depending on the scene & usually works fine. I actually like these "Tombstone" films more than Trejo's "Machete" films because these are more serious & gritty adventures without the over silliness & comical moments that his "Machete" films are known for, i like the more natural flow of these films as grim 'n' gritty Supernatural Westerns with a few laughs sprinkled throughout but not over-the-top silliness.

There is some decent action that is similar in style to the first film but i did like the Magical Book mythology here that is steeped in old evil rituals & satanic cults & devil worshippers & stuff & even zombies!!!! That was all fun & interesting. This Awesome Avenger Guerrero should have his own franchise of films but i know Trejo now is in his late 70's so I'm just thankful & grateful that i have two Awesome Dead in Tombstone films to cherish & Trejo is now a Legend, a hero of Cult Cinema & all round well known nice guy who cherishes what he does & i love the happy energy he gives in his interviews as you can feel how happy he is to be an actor & how lucky he knows he is to here doing this!!! Trejo is a Gem of an actor & a fantastic screen presence & i actually think this sequel "Dead Again In Tombstone" is my favourite of his lead-starring films. Guerrero is definitely my favourite Trejo character followed by "Machete" of course. Yep a whole franchise could be built around Guerrero because he's such a Cool Bad-Ass Character.

So Dead again in Tombstone is an Awesome sequel with a more Mythical Danny Trejo as Guerrero & with an even more Supernatural & Exciting storyline, so enjoy.

Both "Tombstones" are Awesome flicks & both as good as each other in their own ways but this sequel is slightly better in my opinion.
