'Dolphinman Battles the Sex Lobsters' is ridiculous, but it absolutely embraces this and has undeniable charm. The plot is insane, but holds together as a delightful romp anyway. The acting is as ridiculous as the plot, but everybody is committed to their characters and it's great fun to watch. I love that they have chosen to keep this video short, so that most (not quite all) parts have good pace, and the movie jumps between scenes before your attention can falter.
The writing ties together humour that is at turns crass, absurd, and cringe-worthy. But at the end of the day it holds together a proper structure, as the eponymous hero lives through a classic adventurer's tale. I wasn't convinced by the stilted narrator, but he doesn't interfere with the majority of the video, so no harm done.
I recommend this film as a perfect addition to a fun movie night (although not appropriate for young audiences). An absolute ripper.
