Milton Berle talks about playing the newsboy in
Charles Chaplin's
Tillie's Punctured Romance (1914), however his recollection is of Chaplin being nice to the newsboy, buying all his newspapers near the beginning of the film, whereas in "Tillie's Punctured Romance" Chaplin actually slaps the newsboy before buying one paper midway through the film. So, Berle may have been thinking of another of his films.
Berle also speaks of meeting Chaplin again 52 years later, dealing with a heckler, and also smokes cigars with Dick.
